A Season’s Greetings card from Gerry Boyce’s B.C.I.V.S. American History class at Quinte Living Centre. From Christmas 1987. On the inside of the card is a class photo on which 'Pupils' have signed their names at their respective positions.
A selection of class 37s at Bescot on 23.02.00. On the left Mainline blue 37372 waits to depart on the Bloxwich trip. 37051 'Merehead' in EWS red is on the fueller. Mainline blue 37379 'Ipswich WRD' and EWS red 37885 are parked outside the TMD on the right.

A shot of Freightliner's 66 618 eases the late running 6Z34 22.25 Tunstead to Bow past Canonbury on the North London Line.
The train is running on the former 'No.1' freight lines between Camden Road and Dalston Kingsland. Since the North London Line upgrade work in 2010 and 2011 these AC powered lines now the Down & Up North London Lines for all freight traffic, as well as London Overground passenger services between Clapham Junction, Richmond and Stratford.
Visible on the left are the former 'No.2 lines' which are now used solely by London Overground East London Line trains, using third rail DC power, which operate between Highbury & Islington/Dalston Junction and New Cross/Crystal Palace/West Croydon & Clapham Junction (via Peckham Rye).
Preserved Brush Type 2 Class 31 A1A-A1A diesel locomotive 31438 at North Weald Station after working the 2E23 13:55 (14:10 RT) service from Ongar on the heritage Epping Ongar Railway (EOR) in Essex (UK).
31438 was built by Brush Traction at the Falcon Works Loughborough and entered service as British Railways D5557 on October 15th 1959.
31438 was withdrawn from mainline service by British Rail in September 1995.
Absolutely adore Class 31's. Cut my young trainspotting teeth on these in this British Rail blue livery at Chelmsford station on the Great Eastern Main Line in the late 1970s.

British Rail Class 180 'Adelante' Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) 180109 as operated by First Hull Trains at King's Cross Station in London (UK).
180109 was built by Alstom and entered service in December 2001. The Adelante's have had a troubled history with plenty of reliability and train operator issues.
Note the splendid Victorian architecture which dates from 1852.
class 47 47749 City of Truro heads down to ground signal to reverse to head off to Loughbrough Brush
A route learning class 105 arrives at the south end of York on either 14th or 15th May 1989. The throat is in the middle of being rebuilt from the 1951 layout to that used today. The new IECC signalbox was commissioned on 14th May
Solitary class 86, 86501 trundles up the the WCML at Winwick with a Dee Marsh - Mossend train of empty steel carrying wagons on 29th June 1989. These trains were usually powered by pairs of electrics between Mossend & Warrington & vice/versa, but on this occasion only one loco was provided
BREL Freightliner Class 90 'Skoda' electric locomotive 90048 head north at Generals Lane overbridge near Boreham (UK) with a 4L89 Coatbridge - Felixstowe liner.

Note the old grey Freightliner livery which was supposedly superseded in 2004.

Introduced on January 23rd 1965, still exists however it is stored as unserviceable in January 2008.
Passing a lot of building work on one section.
Ran a couple of trains for a while, making sure track was not going dull.
The Class of 2014 climbed the risers on the Plain on Thursday, April 10, 2014 for their class photo. Always a fun event to capture. The Class photo will be available from PanFoto in the very near future.
