April ABS Challenge
My starting point was this lovely ceramic Pendant by Tracee Dock of The Classic Bead. I could easily imagine this little flower being picked from Monet's meadow! I also used silver plated chain, clasp, and jump rings from Nunn Design and a seed bead mix from Glass Garden Beads.

I went shooting today :D
This one holds a special place in my heart. My godfather gave this to me, making it my first firearm ever. This one's an FN/Browning Challenger I (with all the Belgian stamps!) chambered in .22lr. It's the predecessor to the renowned Buckmark line of target pistols Browning currently offers. Left is 3 yards, right is 7.
First I Imported the photo into Lightroom and added contrast, clarity. Used gradient adjustment to lower exposure on top half of the photo. Next step was to export the pic into photoshop. The first step in photoshop was to reduced the noise using noise ninja. Next I started cloning out the distracting objects in the background. The high exposure on the original blasted away the pillars so I rebuilt them by copying from other parts of the photo and cloning. There was no detail in the sky due to the over-exposure, so I masked out the skyline and dropped in a false sky. I left the sky pale so that it didn’t look to obvious. I also let the sky reflect in the water just to get so tone back. I reduced the redness on the faces using a hue/saturation layer adjustment. I then painted out some hot spots on the faces. Finally gave it a good amount of sharpening.
Time taken: 1.30 hrs
Fitness enthusiasts came out to the Camp Carroll Fitness Facility for some anaerobic and aerobic fun as part of a holiday-inspired fitness challenge. The participants challenged themselves and each other during the Crossfit-style competition hitting all muscle groups through dynamic exercises.
This for the "It must be love" challenge in 12 Months for dogs, which had to be shallow DoF and "Show one or more of the reasons you love your pooch or indeed if your pup has some undesirable habits, what you love him in spite of! Put the the explanation under your photo in the challenge thread."
Love is patient, love is kind, and Daxie's love is a demanding, in your face, all or nothing kind of love. She is certainly is my slave and I hers...Originally my idea for the challenge was to have her wearing a sign that said:
"Face Rape
KISSES
25¢
FREE
WILL PAY!"
Yet even with the constant face rapings, bouncing in my face and all her other horrifying little quirks I couldn't live without her.....My 52 week submission for Zappa would have answered this perfectly. So I wanted to try something similiar. The Dof is f3.5. and the title which is one of my favorite lines from Labyrinth - and if you havent seen it you should be flogged and punished! - Jareth (David Bowie) says this to Sara and it fits Daxie to a tee.
