I was leaving Blackwell's Art & Poster shop and saw a considerable queue of people standing beside a truck. Honestly, I didn't think much of it. Brits seem to queue compulsively. Looking up though, there was cauliflower. Turns out a rather large market was set up in Broad Street. Pretty cool!

Made cauliflower "rice" with smoked salmon and peas. It was surprisingly difficult to get the cauliflower to mince up in the blender.
This is cheddar cauliflower that I got from my CSA today. It's really orange in color like cheddar cheese. Originated from Canada. This contains 25 percent more vitamin A than the white variety. And yes, it's organic. I can't wait to cook this!

I forgot my rooibos tea at home, so this was just regular mashed cauliflower flavored with chicken bouillon. I'm honestly not sure which I prefer, because this came out fantastic, too!

Update: Apparently cauliflower is quite a thing in Gela. The vegetable was introduced to Sicily by the Arabs after the fall of the Roman empire and has flourished in the area ever since.
