CAULIFLOWER STEAKS WITH SHAWARMA SPICES
- Cauliflower
- Olive Oil
- Cinnamon
- Cardamom Pods

- Rock Salt
I prefer to crush spices to get the most out of them in terms of freshness and intensity rather than using them in powdered form. Powdered spices will still work if you want to use them.
GREEN CONDIMENT

TOMATO SALAD
- Tomatoes (I'm using a mix coloured of cherry and grape)

Had hot peppermint and spearmint tea with a slice of lemon to complement the dish with that minty freshness.
It was GOOD but felt weird because I'm really used to having some form of meat in my dishes.
This is the first VEGAN dish in my series. There will be more as I stick to my resolution to have ONE vegan meal on the weekend.

Graduate student Jose Samano and current, recent or future Fresno State students Charles Cochran, Janet Robles, Kylie Baker, Liscia Adati havest cauliflower in Samano's research project from the CIT experimental plot. The project examined yield, biomass and nitrate leaching potential for the cropping system subjected at two fertilizer types (organic and conventional), and three fertilizer rates. The project is important because the leached nitrate from crop fields have caused contamination of aquifers used as drinking water sources. a very unusual cauliflower like vegetable that was bought at the local farmers market. It was quite nice.
