Wet , windy & cold! Last weekend on a very enjoyable workshop with Jason Theaker. A tricky day all round but with some great locations. Tried all sorts but think I'm getting fussy in me old age! (As it happens its also birthday day....!). Am currently in Flickr catchup mode; apologies for appearing lazy.
Halo all again! I'm still holidaying but all coming to an end soon unfortunately. guess its a good time to slow things down a bit & do some flickr catchup :)
A post from good ole Perth taken last year. With a cloud formation like this, who can resist not taking a shot! I for one can't resist the temptation for sure :P even when i couldn't find a stunning foreground at that moment, i'll still go for it! Well, this kind of sky don't come that often at a right place right time esp during travelling. Off to be lazy now... take care & catch u all sometime soon.

Sunset from Willem de Vlamingh Memorial, Barrack Square in Perth City, Western Australia

This memorial commemorates the epic voyage from Amsterdam, of Willem de Vlamingh and his fleet who mapped the west coast of Australia in 1697. A giant sundial with two clock faces showing Perth time and Amsterdam time is a living link in space and time between Holland and Australia.

I had a lovely catchup drink this evening with an inspirational friend. She left me with this quote:

Catchup Bloggers:
Backstory: Cerdian, was born of the union between Garth and Dolphin a year after they got married. They would soon learn that he would inherit his fathers magical abilities, along with the typical Atlantean abilities. The combination of his mothers mutation that she can trigger at any point, and Garth's magic led to Cerdian aging at an accelerated rate. Eventually, through years of study, they would find a way to stop this from happening, through the combined use of Cerdian and Garth's magic. As he didn't really get to have much of a childhood, he's trying to catchup with everyone else that is his age. He soon finds a sense of belonging upon joining the Teen Titans team, now calling himself Aqualad, which is the name his dad used while he was part of the original team.
I found this beautiful young lady tucked away on a wall in the corner of the busy city chilling out and resting up with a can of coke.
Taken in a park garden between sprinkler cycles.
Long hiatus (sorry!!) .. Mixture of being busy with work and wonderful (if hot) weather keeping me out and away from the computer the rest of the time, and reluctance to upload when I don't have much time to view and comment. Catchup time now :)
Still playing catchup on a backlog of photos...feels like a never ending task that I'll never get ahead of (does anyone really?!?)

Major Spring cleaning today! Hope to post and catchup this evening!
I am playing catchup here on Flickr. We went to New Mexico so I could attend a wonderful sewing and crafting retreat. It was such a treat to spend four days with supportive like minded women making things. My hubby went along and hiked and explored while I was busy crafting every day. We worked on everything from embroidery to tin to painting. All folk art type things. It was cold there but beautiful!

Coffee and a catchup at Charing Cross today. Not many people can say they're catching up with a friend in an old tube station!
You can see a remnant of the old film set for Skyfall peeling off of the wall there in the form of an Embankment roundel decal.

As I mentioned in the previous post, a game of catchup ensued after underestimating the quick departure of the CBNS eastbound. Getting on Highway 104 and heading east, we wasted no time racing after the train. With a near miss at West River Station, we decided to stick to the back roads in spite of the rainy weather and muddy terrain. The Rav4 handled it without any trouble and we made a few sets in the wet weather of the 20+ car eastbound. Arriving in Stellarton along with the train, we decided we should grab a bite. I introduced Dan to a newer Canadian favourite, Pita Pit, in New Glasgow. Figuring we had enough time to sit down, we enjoyed a short break for supper. We headed east towards the Hopewell Sub once again, only to find 306 preparing to leave town with a single boxcar behind the SD40 duo. The chase was on once again, and after a couple sets close to town, we headed for Marshy Hope. I had yet to capture something in this area, and with an earlier departure than usual, this allowed for it to happen. As the rain continues to fall, the short eastbound works its way through the valley, having just taken a circuitous route away from civilization, once again rejoining with Highway 104. The former CN mainline parallels the highway for a shirt distance before disappearing into the woods once again, and as I already mentioned, it is very uncommon to see movement here in daylight with the schedule now.

Still playing catchup folks. Been a busy weekend
An extended break in Newcastle meant a long overdue catchup with this handsome man! And yes... he is even MORE gorgeous in person!

Still in catchup mode. Another from over a week ago...
This time, it's that gorgeous burgundy satin blouse again from @freshsoulclothing, teamed with this cool skirt from a short-lived collab between @jeanpaulgaultier and @targetaus, that sadly didn't work out nearly as well as it should have, because they created some gorgeous clothes. Punky ankle boots from @wittnershoes.

Literally way too content with how chaotic my life is lately to care about my fly being undone, bitches.
This kind of captures my attitude at the moment.
I've missed so much. My life kind of exploded. Which has made computer access very minimal.
I'll catch up. I'm not quitting I promise.
A catchup shot for my 365 group. Fortunately I already have a tagine. These beautiful Emile Henry tagines cost $250
(from Bay Road Nursery, Sandringham)
This is to you all my friends for the concern shown...
I'm trying to catchup, will take some more time to be in full action.
Thank you all...
Still playing catchup with my project. Haven't even edited today's photo. This is me attempting Landscape
Even though my wife and I had to play catchup with 408 after getting the train at Memramcook, we quickly leapfrogged them as they climbed Evans. I was not about to dawdle either as I could see a perfect glint opportunity lining itself up perfectly. Arriving here, I wasted no time with a few test shots and it was not long before I could hear the train notching up leaving Sackville. I heard the HBD go off at Mile 83 and fired this frame a few minutes later as A40811 23 has just gotten up to track speed and will be slowing for the town of Amherst while straddling the Nova Scotia/New Brunswick border. I've wanted a photo like this ever since I was a kid, and saw an eastbound train at sunset crossing the marsh, and this is one that is definitely up there for my favourites of all time!
Thanks for lookin' at this week's photos and have a magical day!

Starting to play catchup on a 3 year backlog of photograph editing. For much of that period the camera has been rested, but there are still a lot of images to be uploaded from this time. I'll be busy!
Belhaven Bridge does serve a purpose some of the time, as it’s used to cross the Biel Water, a fairly large stream that runs through the village of Biel near to Dunbar before eventually finding its way into to Belhaven Bay.
Just before it reaches the North Sea the stream reaches this bridge. When the tide is out you can use the bridge to access the beach on the other side. However, once the tide is in it becomes impassable, making the bridge look pointless (but 'different' to photograph).
Bass rock is visible in the background.
