Monmer Castings (possibly releated to the monomer casting technique?) is mentioned on these. Not sure how they fit into the history of the works but they appear to have made alot of switch gear boxes and the like judging by the photos here and the patterns laying around on the floor.
This is inside one of the casting forms for a pontoons that will support a new floating bridge across Lake Washington. Showing the scale of this project in a photo is challenging, but there's room to play football inside these walls:
Step 6: Finally the fun part, casting with plastic! After you mix the plastic together you've got to work quickly as this stuff becomes solid after just 5 minutes ... and rock hard after 25 minutes. You can see a couple of the mold cavities didn't get filled completely because the plastic seized up before I could finish pouring.
If this were a two part mold, this is when I would slap on the top piece ... but I was too anxious to wait so I poured these solid casts just to see what they'd look like.
CBMM welcomed nationally renowned sculpture artist and Shepherd University professor Christian Benefiel, who guided workshop participants through the intricacies of casting bronze and aluminum, including creating molds, working the sand and furnace, and pouring molten metal. This belly casting was a shower gift for my cousin. She saw the 1st one I made for myself when I was pregnant with twins and requested that I do one for her as her gift. She knew she would decorate the nursery in a beach theme so I made it like a tankini (just showing a little bit of her bellybutton ).I didn't take many risks when I painted this, I kept it simple(I didn't want to mess it up) but I've learned to trust myself a little bit more with each one I've done.See my photostream to view the other belly castings that I've made for her and for others.

Model Casting Call for
Nianjo Models high end fashion projects
We are seeking confident and attractive NYC female models ages 18 - 30. Regardless of weight or body frame, you must have a healthy appearance and be in good physical condition.
Must RSVP to this email address nianjo.ny@gmail.com along with contact information and 2 recent photos (head shot and full length pose) to receive date, time and location of casting.
Important Requirements:
· Women: Minimum height of 5'3" or taller. Size 0-10.
All Models:
· No experience needed, inspiring models welcomed
· Be prepared to walk. Ladies, please bring a pair of high heels
· Wear a minimal amount of make-up or no make-up
· Please avoid baggy clothing, we need to see your figure/body
· For those who would like to be considered for the swimwear or lingerie projects, please wear a two-piece bathing suit underneath your clothes as you may be asked to walk in your bathing suit
· We may ask to see your legs, arms, torso and upper back to see if you are able to wear open back gowns, low-cut garments, etc.
· Please bring at least 3 comp cards or 3 of the same photos for designers to review.
· Be prepared to provide your TRUE current stats i.e. height (in bare feet), bust size, waist size, dress size, shoe size, etc.
If you do not meet the stat requirements BUT have modeling experience and/or a strong runway walk, we welcome you to attend and show us what you've got.
Models who are cast will receive the opportunity to participate in numerous fashion projects some but not all are paid and receive all images. Select models will have media exposure and editorial opportunities.

What casting directors really want
Had a shoot with young actor Jordan Billings.
We met up in his home town of Newton Le Willows. He travelled down from his acting studies at Preston University.
Casting directors and agents had given Jordan advice on the images required for professional actors' listings on Spotlight, Starnow and for casting in general. They want clean, professional headshots, so casting directors know what they're getting.
With the mobile studio set up, we captured a good range of images, giving Jordan plenty to choose from.
Jordan is an absolute gentleman and has a lovely family.

A front view of Jodi's 3rd belly casting.She went with me to the craft store to pick the colors that would match her baby's bedroom. When it was completed, she said it looks just like her baby's comforter. The cars are driving right up her shoulder!
