Best viewed on black. I should stop testing out these photo equipment. This is the Leica 75mm f1.4 Summilux. Beautiful portrait lens that I think will probably be mine by the end of this week. Well just coffee for the next 6 months for breakfast.

Shot at several hundred feet this is the first sunrise that I've done from the air ;-)

I was blown away by the beams and quickly dialed down the EV to -1.3 to make sure that it all didn't over expose.

If you get the chance to see it big have a look at the wave detail down below.. really cool stuff..

The first trip of Memorial Day on the Strasburg Railroad at 11AM stretches across the field at Esbenshade Road. Norfolk & Western J Class 4-8-4 611 operates tender first as they head out to Paradise, the 611 has just arrived in town from the Virginia Museum of Transportation and will be calling the Amish Country home until October.

The train is being "called on" into the down platform at Sellafield station by the small semaphore arm below Sellafield's down main home signal in order to await passage of an up train currently occupying the single line section ahead.

(thanks to Lancastrian2 for train identity)

I am working on catching the birds in action rather than just looking pretty, pretty hard to do. Jays are beautiful members of the crow family! Thanks for all your wonderful comments and faves!!

Connacht, in the North of the Republic of Ireland is a very famous spot for surfing.

This message is from “Urban Outcries” (Gritos Urbanos), a group of young, talented Social Entrepreneurs at Hummingbird, in preparation for our latest programme on Social Communication. Please see www.carfweb.net/gritos and our Blog www.gritosurbanos.blogspot.com

The gigantic plaster face above is a mould made by our volunteer sculptor, Jorge Vargas, which will be used to produce the gigantic mask to be used as the entrance porch of our studio theatre where the first programme called “LIVES – The Faces and Forces of a People” (VIDAS – As Faces e Forças de um Povo) will be presented.

As we are the voice of the young people at Hummingbird, we would just like to take this opportunity to say that we are overwhelmed by and truly grateful for the response to our photo set “Flowers For Flickrs”, which was our present to all Flickr member’s as thanks for the inspiration generated by your images.

The kids are really enjoying all the positive response we are getting and hopefully we will have more Flowers For Flickrs later on.

Many of you have bookmarked us as your contacts and we really appreciate that because we know you will be coming back to visit our gallery time and time again. It is really gratifying to know that our existence is important to you all.

With the above image, “Urban Outcries” hopes you can hear this message, which is aimed directly at your hearts and souls.
