Feria de Abril a Barcelona 2008
Couldn’t keep the project going. Just not enough time right now needed to do a decent job on such a thing. HOW did I manage a whole year of these things in 2009?? I’ll definitely post here when i feel inspired, but I think it just goes against the idea of trying to make art if you are forcing it or too divided in your attentions and time to do a thing justice.
So, farewell for now. I’ll be back around from time to time (I have missed my old photog pals!). Till then... be well, take pics, and love your lives.

Merry Christmas everyone!
Here's another shot from last weekend in London - the London Eye on the South Bank (officially opened just after Christmas in 1999) on a cold overcast foggy day.
"London calling to the faraway towns
Now war is declared and battle come down
London calling to the underworld
Come out of the cupboard, you boys and girls
London calling, now don't look to us
Phony Beatlemania has bitten the dust
London calling, see we ain't got no swing
'Cept for the ring of that truncheon thing
The ice age is coming, the sun is zooming in
Meltdown expected, the wheat is growin' thin
Engines stop running, but I have no fear
'Cause London is drowning, and I, I live by the river
London calling to the imitation zone
Forget it, brother, you can go it alone
London calling to the zombies of death
Quit holding out and draw another breath
London calling and I don't want to shout
But when we were talking I saw you nodding out
London calling, see we ain't got no high
Except for that one with the yellowy eye
The ice age is coming, the sun is zooming in
Engines stop running, the wheat is growin' thin
A nuclear era, but I have no fear
'Cause London is drowning, and I, I live by the river
The ice age is coming, the sun is zooming in
Engines stop running, the wheat is growin' thin
A nuclear era, but I have no fear
London is drowning, and I, I live by the river
Now get this
London calling, yes, I was there, too
An' you know what they said? Well, some of it was true!
London calling at the top of the dial
And after all this, won't you give me a smile?
I never felt so much a' like a'like a'like"
London Calling, The Clash
A juvenile common buzzard (Buteo buteo, Mäusebussard) perching up high on a tree and calling for its parents to bring some food though the parents have already left their offspring alone. So it's time to learn to hunt on its own.
gold teeth and a curse for this town were all in my mouth

The young priestess only wanted one thing, achieving the ceremony of calling the Spirits exactly as her mother had taught her, as she could feel her presence wachting her every move.
La jeune pretresse ne voulait qu'une seule chose, finir la ceremonie d'appel aux Esprits exactement comme sa mere lui avait apprise. Elle sentait bien la presence qui surveillait chacun de ses gestes

This is the rear of St. Teresa's Church on Clarendon Street, just off Grafton Street in Dublin. A monastery and chapel was founded there in 1797, and they allowed Daniel O’Connell to hold political meetings in the chapel between 1813 and 1829.
Taken with a Leica M4-P and Leica Summarit 35mm f2.5 lens on Kodak TMax 400 black and white film, and developed and scanned by the good folk in Gunns on Wexford Street.

I finally have a full set of decent eagle shots. I saw this one on the beach with something, and while I was there she called in two others, her mate and what was probably an offspring. I sat there for most of half an hour, took 193 shots and a couple of small videos, and they're ALL good. I've never done that before. I'll no doubt never do that again. Here she is, calling her husband, who is soaring above, to come down.
These will be stencilled in metallics on white paper. Either some heavy textile ink or spraypaint. But gold and silver for sure.
Then, I will give them out to people as it applies. And maybe sometimes write a nice little note on the back. Then, dance.
I am going to start with just the "you seem nice" card, and move on from there. By move on, I mean move on to glory.
This shot was taken at Toa Payoh town, at a HDB void deck. It really was one of the shots I had to be very careful as I did not want to destroy the scene, but yet I had to go closer to frame the shot. Enjoy!
