Boxing Up Day - an annual event held at the City of Playford's Davoren Park Service Centre's nursery where local-native tubestock seedlings are assigned to a range of 'standard' mixed-species boxes for distribution to our Buffers to Bushland rural revegetation scheme.
This year 13,500 seedlings were sorted into these boxes.
Property owners participating in the scheme and regular volunteers from Playford Greening and Landcare assist with this task on the day.

The current end of the Bodmin and Wenford Railway line, just west of Boscarne Junction, with these large buffers here to stop the trains.
There are plans to expand the line further West towards Wadebridge known as the RailTrail project, but this is proving quite controversial.
War damaged buildings within the United Nations administered buffer zone. This photo was taken during the border crossing through "no man's land." A stretch of road through abandoned and destroyed buildings. Signs warn of danger for entering buildings within a military zone. Photography is also prohibited.

I watched a play at school with the kids this week called "Made in Sheffield". It was based around the Vulcan at the top of the Town Hall and the Buffer girl in the clock at Orchard Square. We had to pop into town today, so I thought I'd take my camera to try and capture them both. It has made me restart my Sheffield project.
