Buffer scratches his nose.

I shot this photo this morning at Coon Bluff Recreation Area. This bird, a female, was keeping company with a male VC, who had a distance buffer that did not allow me to get a decent photo. Oh, what I would give for a 500mm, or, gasp, a 600!

Handing over the 200,000th seedling for the City of Playford's Buffers to Bushland rural revegetation program.

Playford Greening and Landcare Chairman Pauline Frost (right) delivers the box containing the two hundred thousandth local-native seedling to Humbug Scrub property owner Kathy McCullagh while Playford greening volunteers look on.

The Buffers to Bushland revegetation program supplies local-native seedlings to rural properties in the Playford council district, and began in 1999. Kathy has been a regular participant in the scheme since 2000.

Buffers being moved over to HMS Belfast, and a passing Tug

Remnants of the old railway line are still visible on the Coastal Link path along the River Adur in Shoreham. I liked the warm rusty colour on this buffer in this evening's light - slowly being reclaimed by the undergrowth.

A buffered bike lane with green pavement markings. And don't worry; the car was turning out of a driveway as it crossed through the buffer in this photo and soon ended up driving correctly in the motor vehicle lane.
