Hydraulic buffers at Glasgow Central Station. While they could not stop a full-speed train, they can still and absorb the energy of the multi-tonne Pendelinos that service the West Coast main line. Then again, it's not like Pendelinos go that fast to begin with....

Remnants of the old railway line are still visible on the Coastal Link path along the River Adur in Shoreham. I liked the warm rusty colour on this axle and buffer in this evening's light.

Buffers!!! It was very odd to see trains without knuckle couplers.

duh!

41241 is seen through the buffers at Oxenhope station.

took these photos while sitting at my office desk (which overlooks SW Stark Street between 3rd and 4th Aves). this is just some of the people driving in the buffered bike lane and all were shot in a 40 min. period.

The Buffers in order of closest were: Platform 2 then Siding 1 then Siding 2.

Note Platform 2 had a sand drag and a coconut buffer light that was hit on occasions...
