In the morning merchants take their laden carts to the castle. The king and queen spend lavishly for their court.

The remains are taken down to market for the citizenry to pick over.

The contrast between the rich and the poor has never been greater.

In a far distant land known as "Irland", a Viking warrior lays on the ground dying from his wounds. He looks towards the bleak sky above, seeing nothing but grey in this foreign land. The warrior slowly closes his eyes as his life starts to fade away. He is finally at peace after a lifetime of war. Suddenly, a bright light appears before him and in the center he sees a woman clad in golden armor with wings. The Valkyrie had arrived and she came down towards him. The warrior could not move or speak, but only observe. The Valkyrie picked up the warrior and started the journey back to Valhalla. The warrior had achieved the Viking ideal of dying in battle. In Valhalla he will enjoy his time feasting in Odin's hall alongside warriors of the past, until the time comes for Ragnarok.

I usually don't do small MOCs like this, but I figured I would give it a try for once. This was fun to do so I might do more, mainly to showcase certain figures I haven't gotten to using yet. The Valkyrie is largely based on concept art I've seen.

My entry to Brickscaliburs 12x12 category.

Here is my entry into the Brickscalibur Rogues and Outlaws category.

A couple of years ago I got acquainted with the work of Brandon Sanderson, and since then he is one of my favorite authors. I have long wanted to build something inspired by his books, and so the category of Rogues and Outlaws gave me the idea to collect an episode from the book "Mistborn: The Final Empire".

Kredik Shaw lay before them. The peaked spires and sheer towers rose like dark talons in the night. They varied greatly in thickness—some were wide enough to house stairwells and large rooms, but others were simply thin rods of steel jutting up into the sky. The variety gave the mass a twisted, off-center symmetry—an almost-balance.

The spikes and towers had a foreboding cast in the damp, misty night—like the ash-blackened bones of a long-weathered carcass. Looking at them, Vin thought she felt something…a depression, as if simply being close to the building was enough to suck away her hope.

“Our target is a tunnel complex at the base of one of the far right spires,” Kelsier said, his voice barely carrying over the quiet hush of the falling rain. “We’re heading for a room at the very center of that complex. ”

“What’s inside?”

“I don’t know,” Kelsier said. “That’s what we’re going to ?nd out. Once every three days—and today isn’t one of them— the Lord Ruler visits this chamber. He stays for three hours, then leaves. I tried to get in once before. Three years ago. ”

“The job,” Vin whispered. “The one that…”

“Got me captured,” Kelsier said with a nod. “Yes. At the time, we thought that the Lord Ruler stored riches in the room. I don’t think that’s true, now, but I’m still curious. The way he visits is so regular, so… odd. Something’s in that room, Vin. Something important. Maybe it holds the secret to his power and immortality. ”

<...>

Vin shrugged. However, as she moved on the rooftop, she felt it again—the sense of depression coming from Kredik Shaw.

“There is something, Kelsier,” she said. “The palace feels…wrong, somehow. ”

“That’s the Lord Ruler,” Kelsier said. “He radiates like an incredibly powerful Soother, smothering the emotions of everyone who gets close to him. Turn on your copper; that will make you immune. ”

Vin nodded, burning copper. Immediately, the sensation went away.

“Good?” Kelsier asked.

She nodded again.

“All right, then,” he said, giving her a handful of coins. “Stay close to me, and keep your atium handy—just in case. ”

With that, he threw himself off the roof. Vin followed, her cloak tassels spraying rainwater. She burned pewter as she fell, and hit the ground with Allomantically strengthened legs.

Kelsier took off at a dash, and she followed. Her speed on the wet cobblestones would have been reckless, but her pewter-fueled muscles reacted with precision, strength, and balance. She ran in the wet, misty night, burning tin and copper—one to let h

er see, the other to let her hide.

Kelsier rounded the palace complex. Oddly, the grounds had no outer wall. Of course they don’t. Who would dare attack the Lord Ruler?

Flat space, covered in cobblestones, was all that surrounded the Hill of a Thousand Spires. No tree, foliage, or structure stood to distract one’s eye from the disturbing, asymmetric collection of wings, towers, and spires that was Kredik Shaw.

“Here we go,” Kelsier whispered, his voice carrying to her tin-enhanced ears. He turned, dashing directly toward a squat, bunkerlike section of the palace. As they approached, Vin saw a pair of guards standing by an ornate, gatelike door.

Kelsier was on the men in a dash, cutting one down with slashing knives. The second man tried to cry out, but Kelsier jumped, slamming both feet into the man’s chest. Thrown to the side by the inhumanly strong kick, the guard crashed into the wall, then slumped to the ground. Kelsier was on his feet a second later, slamming his weight against the door and pushing it open.

Made for Brickscalibur's "Dwarf Tales" category

The rough seas of the north can be harsh...

So this started out as a completely different plan in my head, but circumstances (including me being sick for two weeks) stole all the time and drive I had for my original idea, so this is me salvaging some parts of it to throw at Brickscalibur before the deadline as just a fun little vignette, which is also kind of a pun on what happened to my original build, it shipwrecked...

Light falls asleep

under a sea of mist;

Drakenrock awakens.

This is my entry for the Medieval Micro category of Brickscalibur. I wanted to use that weird Bionicle base ever since I saw it in Ted Andes's awesome Hermit build, so a microscale castle seemed like a fitting choice. Another idea I wanted to play around with was using cigar smoke as fog. This turned out to be a lot more complicated than I hoped, but combining multiple photos into one gave a sufficiently satisfying result.

This is my intro MOC for #fracturedkingdoms RPG and Brickscalibur tournament!

Jayon was the youngest son of an old blacksmith. He lost his family after the bandits attacked their workshop and after this happened he began his way to become the greatest warrior in the world. And this is his story…

Like what you're seeing? You can win this MOC in this year’s Brickscalibur! Consider entering the digital-only Realms of Unreality category and this wish-fulfilling genie might just be yours!

The fourth one in this year's collection! We might have added a digital-only category but the prizes are most definitely physical. To me a genie made most sense and if you build a genie you of course build the genie!

I kept tinkering right up til the deadline, and was rewarded with the tail fin, which really solidifies the whole water dragon theme.

Though some photos may not look like it, all the "yellow" is bright light orange, which looks really good with the dark blue, but was a PAIN to find parts in.

Story:

-I must search it that is our last chance to impose our order

-It is very dangerous to go there you you'll have to cross unknown lands on the journey of your life

and the old books say that to enter this shrine you will have to donate a part of your body if you want to have the vial you will have to deserve it

-have you decided yet

- if is it for our order i will give my life without hesitation

-I'm leaving this evening even after dark

-good road Isaac

Hello everyone here's my lastest moc for the Brickscalibur contest in category 12time12 vignette and This moc was built in 4 days, I hope you will like it !

•Dragon Sorceress Zyra, mistress of spells and potions with Dagahra and Nagendra, baby dragons in training

•A soldier of the royal guard

I was looking for a better solution to build some small scale dragon heads. I tried so many parts unitl I finally realized LEGO already provides the perfect solution. I'm not sure the snakes and dragon sword hilt have been used like this before and I'm particularly fond of how these two dragons turned out! 😍

I hope you like them as much as I do. Thanks for viewing.

My entry for Brickscalibur The Enchanted Forest category.

Leaders of the Golden Horde of the Medieval Mongolian Empire, known as the Great State. From left to right:

The Imperial Husky, fast and hard working, and one of the best friends of Sartaq Khan.

Nogai Shekina. A famous warrior during the time of the Mongol Empire and now Imperial bodyguard to Sartaq Khan, this ancient warrior is famed for military knowledge and wise counsel, very much like his anda, Uzbeg Shekina. He is especially popular with the Khan because of his talent training and caring for the Imperial dogs.

Sartaq Ariqa. Wife of Sartaq Khan and mother to Menisha Ariqa, this fierce lady was once a popular assassin, until she fell in love with one who was supposed to be her victim, and became his loving wife and helper. Keen and clever, she likes nothing better than to join the war council and show off her widely unused fighting talent, as a menace to any of the Khan's secret enemies.

Sartaq Khan, Great-grandson of Genghis Khan and leader of the Golden Horde or the Great State. He is a brilliant general, a quick impetuous fighter, and an amiable, popular character, very popular with his men and amongst the clans which he heads. Among other things, he dearly loves his daughter Menisha, who is his little darling and never strays far from his side, and would give his life for her any day of the month.

Tapek Arkan. A long time friend of Sartaq Khan, Tapek is as skilled with the bow as anyone in the kingdom... except Uzbeg Shekina. She has a sullen vein in her blood, though it boils hot enough at time, and likes to sneak out against all imperial orders in the middle of the night to have a dusky hunt on the steppes, atop her noble horse Menig, when she never fails to bring back a doe or an antelope. Somewhat rebelious and very wild, it is rumoured that she once loved Sartaq with her very life, and she has never made good friends with the Khan's young wife. Nevertheless, Sartaq Khan trusts her and knows in his heart that she would never betray him, no matter what happened.

Uzbeg Shekina. The only one who is known to have beat Menisha in a shooting match, there has ever since been a friendly but slightly devilish rivalry between them, especially since it was ease and coolness that Uzbeg discomfited her. He is a great companion for the Khan's little daughter Menisha, however, imparting his wisdom to her in many ways and having a very jolly time on all their expeditions. Uzbeg is also the Khan's body guard and councilor, and Nogai's close blood brother, or anda.

Hey guys, this is my entry to the CCC minifig category, and likewise to the Brickscalibur Monarchic Minifigures cat. Hope you like it, I just got a sudden inspiration and ran with it! I also really like the base, let me know what you think of it :) .

I leave Brynjudalr on a cold winter morning and embark on a dangerous journey into the unknown, over snowy hills, misty landscapes all the way to the mountains where the forgotten treasure lies. I fear nothing, Odin is with me!

As a small wizard, Rupert never dreamt to reach the final boss. He was playing the game long enough, to know that only the biggest and bravest players can reach the top. But he did it, after countless hours of preparation, and now was his time to shine. So he pointed his staff forward and jumped…

Brickscalibur: Monstrous Encounters

In winter I built ogre and wagon for the Brickscalibur. I wasn't glad with photo and wanted to make full diorama. After Innsmouth I also wanted something more colorful.

This is a little addition to my LEGO vignette of the medieval Old Town of Regensburg, Germany, that I built for the 12x12 category of Brickscalibur last year. I updated the colour of the Bridge Tower based on a suggestion by Markus Müller and I added a title plaque that wasn't allowed for the build contest.

I also try to show a few comparisons to the real city. The model is akin to a skyline model but in a more crammed 2-dimensional layout. Thus it's not a scale-accurate reproduction of the city's layout rather than a more abstract agglomeration of various points of interest, specifically:

• The Old Town Hall with its high tower and the adjacent Imperial Diet Hall where the Imperial Diet of the Holy Roman Empire assembled.

St. Peter's Cathedral as one of the most significant Gothic cathedrals in Germany.

• The Baroque Justitia Fountain bearing a sculpture of Lady Justice.

• The Stone Bridge across the Danube as a milestone of medieval bridge architecture and oldest existing bridge in Germany.

• The Bridge Tower as the remaining one of once 3 guard towers along the Stone Bridge.

• The Salzstadel and Amberger Stadel as historic salt storages next to the Bridge Tower.

• The Historic Sausage Kitchen as probably the oldest continuously open public restaurant in the world.

Building instructions and further details can be found on Rebrickable.

Valvik came from a long line of big and strong dwarves. Unfortunately, he was born shorter than most of his kin. This didn’t stopped him to pursue his dream job - a bladesmith. Because of his height, he had to work on a stool, but he wasn’t up for it. So he developed a signature style of work called The Jump Thump. Each jump gave him the strength of 2 regular sized dwarves and this is how he was able to work twice faster than an average bladesmith. The End.

Brickscalibur is back, baby! Knights and mythical creatures, bricks and fun, what else do you need! This is my entry for the Dwarf Tales category.

After years of searching, a fearless knight finally reaches the ancient portal that legends have spoken of. It has become a myth over the centuries as many have scoured the kingdom, but now from the top of a cliff, nestled amongst the clouds, she can see it, and is ready to begin her next adventure…

Built for the digital "Realms of Unreality" category in Brickscalibur.

Small build for the 12x12 Brickscalibur category.

I wanted to do more with this build, but I just ran out of time. Might update or delete it later if I feel like it.

Despite the hardships of travel, Omar remained steadfast, driven not by worldly desires, but by his ever-present need to gird his loins. To Omar, this phrase was a metaphor for more than just preparation for battle—it was a reminder to fortify his spirit before every challenge, whether that meant physically tightening his belt or mentally steeling himself for what lay ahead. Each day, Omar would pause at dawn, adjusting his armor and reassuring Hamid that they were ready for whatever trials lay in their path.

My first finished MOC of 2025! :) It's my interpretation of Reepicheep.

Reepicheep the Mouse is a fictional character in the children's fantasy series The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis.

C.S. Lewis is on of my favorite authors. Have you never read his books? A good resolution for 2025 ;)

I prefer reading books far above watching movies, so it's based on my interpretation of the books, not others ;)

This is what Wikipedia says about Reepicheep:

"Reepicheep is described as a "gay and martial mouse",[1] about two feet high when standing on his hind legs,[2] with ears "nearly as long as (though broader than) a rabbit's";[1] small Talking Beasts in Narnia are very much larger than their "dumb" counterparts.[3] He speaks with a shrill, piping voice. His fur is very dark, almost black. He wears a thin circlet of gold on his head, with a crimson feather.[2][4] His weapon is a rapier." ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reepicheep)

It's an entry for Brickscaliburs "Tales from the meadow" and CCC XXII's "Crafty Creature"

Hey all, I'm happy to share with you my first large MOC for Brickcalibur! And to start off the year!

I was casting about for a good interior design, and then I realized I could do a movie scene at the same time, so after a lot of searching I found this awesome scene from Maleficent, where Aurora frees Malefiient's caged wings.

Haven't seen the whole movie, but this scene was inspiring, and also of course it was in the heart of the royal castle! So here it is, as absolutely accurate as I could possibly make it, even down to the floor which I figured must have been similar to that of the throne room, and I hope you like it!

A tribute to a Disney classic. My 3rd Submission for Brickscalibur (category "dwarf tales").

Here you can peek behind the scenes:

This is an entry for the Trading Places category of Brickscalibur and the Old but Gold category of the current Guilds of Historica challenge. It is a revamp of the candlemaker’s shop I built back in 2014. It features a full interior and uses the floating cobblestone technique we have previouslyshared a tutorial on.

Glorfindel and Eryl continued on their journey after stopping at the Wayfarer’s Den, eventually coming to Hradheim. There Glorfindel was able to visit his old friend, Kenan, who owns the candle shop Wax and Wick. It sits in the shopping district of Hradheim which is always bustling with folks going about various errands or hawking their wares. Some sweet treats purchased from a baker’s stall nearby were just the thing to provide energy for another day’s travel.

Hey guys! Meet the Figgybarf Family, made for Brickscalibur category 'Farmstead Figures'.

It was a pain to place all these figures and plants where they belong. Especially when my cat thought she could help me too;) I added and scrapped a lot while taking the picture, for I wasn't happy with how it looked. At first there was also a tree and some more bushes, but I scrapped them along the way.

I am very happy with the final result, I hope you guys too! Let me know what you think of it!

ETERNAL LOVE

Following a tragic accident, Charles Henri prematurely loses the love of his life. She was everything to him, so he had a statue made in her image which he frequents every day. Today it has been 10 years since Charles Henri lost his beloved, but his love for her is still as great.

Every poacher dreams of catching a L'avadoo, one of the rarest and most expensive species. The problem is that these creatures are extremely hostile and one of their favorite snack is human. The next best thing is to steal a L'avadoo's egg, which is as dangerous as trying to catch one.

Ebon Clutterbuck was given a job (and failed it) by Baron Nikko Finski. The Baron was known for cutting heads for less, but Ebon was not ready to meet his creator yet. He promised the Baron that he will deliver 1 L'avadoo egg, more than a compensation for the failed job. But Ebon's plan was to steal all 3 eggs, that a L'avadoo's laying. Give one to the Baron and sell the other 2. Pay his debts and buy some land. So he came up with the perfect plan on how to get the eggs and a lot of money.

Step by step guide, by Ebon Clutterbuck, on how to get rich off L'avadoo eggs:

1. Find a nest.

2. Climb it.

3. Don't fall.

4. Don't get eaten.

5. Sell it.

6. Cash money!

Fen, a faun and the goat shepherd, who stays in a small house on the farmstead of Lars.

North of Faldia lies Hellum, a country known for it's agriculture, most of the crops are grown there and many are sold at the markets of Faldia for extra profit, see: Friday market in Rindael and: The grand market square of Rindael

A daring warrior went off alone to face an elephant that had landed in a trap.

There were very few things Alrune, Mage-Governor of Embervale, loved more than the quiet solitude of her study at dawn. The rest of the castle was, at this hour, caught up in the intricate choreography of the staff’s breakfast preparations - a swirling ballet of clattering pans and arguments about eggs.

In less than an hour, her uncle would interrupt her blissful silence, armed with the kind of unwavering politeness that would somehow make refusing breakfast feel like declaring war on her own kitchen staff. And shortly after, the village bell would ring, summoning her to listen to the endless stream of complaints, questions, and deeply inventive interpretations of Imperial Laws presented by the good people of Embervale.

But for now, it was just her, her cats, and the soothing dripping of a gelatinous cube becoming ectoplasmic distillate.

This is my entry for Brickscalibur's "Capturing Character" category.

Bonus quiz: how many cats does Alrune have?

I got a bit of a late start, but I wanted to enter at least one category of Brickscalibur. This entry is for the Monarchic Minifigures category;

From left to right;

Jād – Chief magician of the Princess Hawwā’. While the royals accept his insight; members of the high council question the legitimacy of his spiritual connection.

Fatima – Handmaiden to the Princess Hawwā’; a greatly appreciated confidant to her highness.

Princess Hawwā’ – Betrothed to Prince Siraj when they were both use to solidify relations with the nomadic tribes to the west. She enjoys her place by her husband’s side and doesn’t mind the benefits of aristocracy either

Siraj Al-Anka - The highly redeemed sun prince rose to power after his father was forced to abdicate the throne due to political unrest. From a young age he showed little regard for politics, but quickly rose to the challenge in order to maintain political certainty of the kingdom.

Akeem – The chief animal keeper of the palace. While falconry is more traditional, Prince Siraj takes interest in exotic and fantastical birds. Akeem boasts he has perfected animal handling, but the scars and missing legs and fingers suggest otherwise.

Karim – Tutor to the crown princes since childhood; Karim is Prince Siraj’s most regarded councilmen. This trust and respect has resulted in Karim having great power over the courts.

Gamal – Chief guard of the palace and personal body guard of the Prince. While he displays a stoic and indifferent presence, behind the scenes he cares great deal about the people he serves alongside.

A hardy pair of hunters, capable of tracking prey through blizzards and snow swept tundra with ease.

Brickscalibur may be over but while we're hard at work sorting out the results and preparing the announcement of the winners, there is still one last trophy to unveil. Here's the one for "Trading Places" - ready to experiment in a display case close to you soon!

The one thing that can secure your right to the thrown, is to get your own dragon. Unfortunatly that is not an easy task, as you have to steal the eggs at the exact time its about to hatch. And obviously there is a dragon that dont want you to do so.

Did I mention robes? This is the one that nearly broke me, I think. Fabric is so hard to get right, and while I'm not completely happy with this one, I think it's close enough :) Enjoy!

One final entry to Brickscalibur. Another for the "Tails" category. The Castle Sandya will never fear the likes of seagulls.

My entry for the category « Dwarf Tales » (Brickscalibur)

The Unexpected Alliance

Deep within the mountain’s heart, where sunlight fears to tread, lies a dwarven city of unparalleled wealth. Its tunnels stretch endlessly, carved into the rock by generations of blacksmiths and miners. In the deepest recesses of this subterranean realm lies an ancient secret: the dwarves have forged an unexpected alliance with a colossal dragon.

In a vast chamber, illuminated by a phosphorescent glow, only the head and tail of a dragon with ruby-red scales emerge from a heap of gold. Its amber eyes, filled with millennia of wisdom, gaze upon the immense treasure that engulfs it. At its feet, two dwarven guards, clad in finely crafted armor, stand watch around the clock over a blue sphere suspended above a pedestal adorned with mysterious runes. This sphere, a tangible symbol of the union between the two races, emits a soft pulse, radiating a calming energy throughout the chamber.

The history of this alliance dates back to ancient times. The dwarves, ever seeking new veins of ore, had ventured too deep into the mountain and disturbed the dragon’s slumber. Instead of exterminating them, the creature perceived in them a strength and determination worthy of admiration. A pact was forged: the dwarves could continue to exploit the mountain’s riches in exchange for their loyalty and regular tributes. The dragon, in turn, would protect the city from any external threats.
