One of my latest builds is a model of a Denver and Rio Grande Western 01400-series steel caboose. This may seem a bit outside my typical New England prototype area and that's because it is a gift for Bricknerd as part of the Railyard Telegraph Game, to go with his incredible "Queen of the Rio Grande" SD40. That particular build and others of his inspired me as I came into the hobby, so I wanted to build something to go with it. (Also to make sure he couldn't ever tear it apart! :-D )
The caboose is 7-wide, which was a challenge, and features a bunch of SNOT in the cupola, but otherwise is mostly hollow. This was on purpose in case it's ever desired to add an interior. I was also able to take advantage of multiple new parts, such as the 2x3 tiles (26603), 1x3 jumpers (34103), and the Technic pin with pin hole (15100). The trucks also feature roller bearings that actually roll! The stickers are from OKBrickWorks, who did an amazing job especially with matching the Bright Light Orange for the windows. The color scheme was certainly a fun obstacle, since I don't often build in either BLO or Light Bluish Grey and there's a limited number of parts that come in the former.
Now that it has cleared customs this build is at home in Germany!
The logo and mascot for the wonderful community blog BrickNerd.com is a stylized red 2 x 2 brick wearing glasses named Nerdly. Contributors tend to have their own customized versions of it to represent themselves. This is mine, because I'm very excited to say I've joined BrickNerd as a contributor! In fact, my first article went up today. It's about part mold variations over time, and techniques that can be achieved with different generations of those parts. I've got a ton of ideas going forward, and I'm excited to share with and learn from the BrickNerd team!
Architeuthis Pirata commonly known as "Pirate Squid, Terror of the Seven Seas". Captain Kraken and his crew of Mollusc Marauders are not passing up any opportunity to pillage and plunder. Build in a little under two month for the BrickNerd “pi-RATS & BUG-aneers” contest. Based on the frame of the Silent Mary, the whole bow/head section can lift up to show-off the kraken's fearsome mouth. I'd love to add more rigging but did run out of time and string. The sails are original lego, dyed with black fabric dye.

Kairos; The Overseer. The deity of time. A being whose sole purpose is to make beings of other worlds interact. To create small pocket universes that house copied species and persons from other worlds into his own. He starts by creating a standard world filled with lush green environments, then gazing upon a lists of planets, star systems, universe, choosing what he deems to be the most interesting. If he finds a person of interest or a species, he copies that being from that exact moment to prevent altering timelines. He creates an exact copy, without the copy realizing it, and puts them on his planet. Dozens, hundreds, thousands, he keeps adding until the planet can no longer sustain itself or he gets bored with his progress. If the fate of the world becomes the latter, he descends down to a lower plain of existence to personally exterminate what he had created with is massive hammers. The hammers are used to create his worlds and are used for their destruction, as well.
His personality is a patient one. He takes his time searching through worlds to see what can make his own more interesting. Like a chef rummaging his cupboards for the right spice or ingredient. When the selected being is copied, they perceive the copy as an otherworldly event that knocks them out, to then be awaken in the new world, without question. Kairos chose those who would be friendly at first, then adds conflict to his world to watch it crumbles. His goal is to study interactions of other beings, and report back to his commander, Lady Void. Kairos is seen as more-or-less an outcast among his kind. He acts like a god for the powers he possesses and gives him an ego that is unfitting for his race. Due to his dimension-hopping, he is hard to pinpoint, making his actions under the radar and dangerous to Lady Void. The Migrator is currently in pursuit of this being, and will be put to death once found.

Rorschach (Watchmen)
Made for Nervember 2021 contest on Bricknerd.
Instructions available on Rebrickable
One theme was to build a comics character bust taking size model on exclusive event sets.
There is still a few time to enter the contest and win the possibility to have a custom cover art based on your creation.
My character choice was rorschach from the watchmen comics.
I love so much this one and the way the face is changing from one emotion to another.
What was funny by building this one is it was the same for me, making the face design several time, one time making it too agressive, one time too happy... to finally find a balance I feel...
From L to R, Top to Bottom:
Captain Gorg Foulgrunt (Orc warrior)
Served aboard an Orc juggernaut during the Third War. Now commands this rag tag band of miscreants on various adventures in Azaroth.
Wepons of choice: dual weilds a pair of saw-toothed sabers
Brom Hoofheart (Tauren)
Bosun of the Ka'lypso, responsible for keeping it all working. Wears a pair of Naga skulls as shoulder armor.
Weapon of choice: Nazjatar forged broadsword
Pierce (Worgen quartermaster)
Keeps the crew in working order, sometimes literally as his skills as a medic are often called upon, Pierce also maintains order and discipline.
Weapon of choice: a sharp cutlass
Ramstein (Undead sailor/musician)
Fastest up the mast and quick with a tune. Once a sailor for Stormwind, he awoke one morning to find himself Undead.
Weapon of choice: ghostblade capable of wounding both flesh and spirit
Skish and Brawl (recovering Fel Orcs)
While Skish is far from eloquent she clearly has a higher intelect than Brawl, who mostly grunts. It's unclear their relationship to each other but it's obvious they hate each other, though not enough to kill the other, possibly married.
Weapons of choice: black saber and harpoon
Sing Stormoak (Pandaren cook and grogmaster) Keeping the crew fed is no easy task but Sing can whip up a meal from minimal ingredients with the greatest of ease. Also keeps the crew supplied with a concoction they've come to accept as grog.
Wepons of choice: cooking pan and meat cleaver but he is also formidible with the spoon
Fun fact: grows mushrooms on his shoulder armor.
Grizzlecrank (Goblin Master Gunner and engineer)
Demolitions expert and huge fan of explosions, keeps ALL the cannons working, though he does have to call in his Warlock buddy to assist with the Infernal cannon.
Weapon of choice: Goblin hand cannon and any kind of explosive
Val Syndal (Blood Elf financier/thief)
Likes to remain in the shadows whenever possible and dirty her hands the least. Comes from rich blood so her biggest job is to finance the expeditions. Of course, she also gets a bigger share of the prize.
Weapons of choice: her "liver-opener" and pistol
Mrrgl'Glrrk (Murloc lookout)
Smarter than you may think, "Murry" has keen eyesight and an amazing sense of smell.
Quick to sound the alarm when something is off.
Weapons of choice: fishing net and fishing knife
Custom figures I made for the BrickNerd 2022 piRATS & BUGaneers contest.
The winning Team awarded TimS the first BattleSHIP trophy.... which we used as the final torpedo to destroy the last remaining ship....
... Later I was honored with the Esther Walner Charity Fundraiser Appreciation Award, for spontaneously trying to save (donate) a SHIP from being smashed... then subsequently vetoed by the crowd, which crowd sourced the matching funds ...
... most awesomely the final $50 was donated by TimS ... to see me cry.
... and of course we had to make the trophies match >.>

RogueOlympics has started again, with the first prompt being "As Sweet as Sugar". Also an entry for the Sweet Scenes category of the Adorabuild contest on Bricknerd. I did not have any ideas early in the week, and then didn't have much time when the concept did come. Still had fun assembling this fantasy portrayal of the joy a parent experiences having fun with their kids. 89 parts were used.

You guys have it all wrong, the only thing Nerdly really needs is a girlfriend...
Built for the "Pimp My Nerdly" Contest on BrickNerd.
This is the first MOC I have built with my wife, I guess our recent encounter with the Mayos was inspiring!
I built a much larger and modernized version of the original Blacktron Renegade (set 6954) a few months back for BricksLA. You can see it in action at the tail end of the first episode of Bricks & Beer!
I used a stand-in for the rover for the convention and finally got around to building a proper redux of the original rover. It's a fun little build to roll around on a table and the action feature of having it roll down the ramp and out of the ship is pretty dope.
I have yet to take any actual pictures of the Renegade II since it's basically impossible to photograph. I may or may not make the trek to BrickNerd studios one day to let Tommy work his magic however. . .
Awhile back I was thinking about what I might like to display alongside the Wasp Wing Table Lamp I built last summer, and the idea came to me to build hard cover books with Art Nouveau inspired cover art. The idea was also inspired by the paperback novel covers that Shannon Sproule has built.
These are the first three of them, and I am still working on one more.
The ground floor consists of The Androids Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop, Bricknerd Studios (including the Build & Design area, Production area, and Nerd Lounge), a Tardis, and a cave under the stairs.

This is a Pullman?
I don't know what kind of carriage this is or what it's based on. I've seen various models of Pullmans, but my untrained eye can't tell the difference between one or the other. But it was easy to make and is light and robust.
A month ago, I glanced at Michael Gales's article about building LEGO trains: bricknerd.com/home/building-style-with-trains-sometimes-l...
I realised I was losing my love for LEGO trains because the models I had built were wildly impractical. They had thousands of parts that would easily snap off when handled or during long running sessions, making the whole process of building and running trains sour.
So, I decided to buy a new set of carriages to run behind my engines that would replace my hideously delicate Mk1s. Which will be remodelled soon.
I've tried to make them as realistic as possible whilst not making them too frail, so I have sacrificed a lot of details I previously included in the Stud.io file. Hopefully, some custom decals will improve the realism of the model.

In the 80s, Nerdly was in the seminal punk band, The Clutch. Nerdly has been many things over the years but his time spent performing with Clutch have left a lasting impression on many young listener and who's waves still ripple through music today.
An example where two different official LEGO police torsos have had their prints partially erased to create American Civil War torsos.
Created for an upcoming BrickNerd article
Everything I have acquired from goodie bags, trades, raffles, and what I've bought myself.
Didn't realize it, but in the pic I'm missing a printed BrickJournal set of tiles that Tommy from BrickNerd signed for me, whoops.
Loads of awesome parts and I hope to get more tomorrow.
Thanks to Codey, Victor, and everyone else that stopped by today and made the day super exciting.
Here comes my 6-wide Lego MOC VW T2 Transporter. The Bulli has developed a cult following since its introduction in 1967, like its older sibling T1. Nevertheless it had originally been designed as the most mundane means of transport for craftspeople and farmers. The different versions buyers could chose from, with and without windows, standard or high roof, closed or open bed etc. were advertised with the slogan "Die Zunft der Vernunft," something like "the guild of rationality" or mundanity (?!), alluding to carpenters', roofers' and others' membership in traditional trade guilds. The camper version which today is the icon of #vanlife was just one of a number of options back in the day. Check out this excellent collection of historical ads for more Bulli mundanity: www.vw-t2-bulli.de/de-promotion-vw.html.
My MOC features front doors, a sliding side door, as well as lots of clip, SNOT and bracket work to achieve the proper shaping and proportions. I studied many of the excellent T2 MOCs out there and worked long on refining the shape as close to scale as possible while retaining minifig playbility.
