Dunkelweizen The Victoria Humane Society was named the 2014 BC Benefit Brew winner! Pouring a deep earthy brown colour with a generous dose of wheat, roasted flavours are wrapped in a smooth malt body that finish dry. Full proceeds from the sale of this beer went to finding animals loving forever homes

Active Assignment Weekly - February 13 - 20: Good Morning

WIT: Love my morning brew, it's what gives me a proper start to the day. I didn't actually take this in the morning, since by the time I usually wake up, it's past noon. Mussed up my hair to look like it does when I first wake up, donned my bathrobe. Took several shots, to get the right facial expression and hand position - it's difficult for me not to look goofy on camera! In post, just a slight tweaking of colours, and cropped to square.

Starting the day with a little decaf love...

From one of my many trips to Alki. My favorite part of this day was the ominous clouds brewing overhead. The weather held out long enough for me to shoot and then it got quite nasty.

I intentionally used a long enough exposure to make the water absolutely serene, in contrast with the dramatic clouds overhead. This juxtaposition is a symbol of the chaos that is always looming just beyound our seemingly calm, organized lives. Haha, no, I'm not that deep. I just thought it was pretty. :)

NOUN

1. a potent magical concoction supposedly prepared by witches.

2. a harmful or threatening mixture; diabolical concoction: a witches' brew of innuendo

and rumor.

Happy Halloween!
