Monday Night Brewing loves Bryan Adams. They have a life-size cutout of the Canadian in their office wearing a medal they earned at the National US Beer Open for their Belgian-style Wit beer, Fu Manbrew. He caught my eye as soon as I stepped into their new space, which is basically a construction site at the moment. This is a huge step for them, considering when I first met up with them 18 months ago they were brewing out of a garage. One third of the original team, Jonathan Baker, gave me a tour and got me up to date on this exciting time in his company’s beer voyage. We also witnessed his dog climb a ladder, which was a first.

Pictured here is a remnant of the Vienna Brewery, one of the four buildings originally comprising this brewery operated by the A.J. Houghton Co. from 1876 to 1918. Situated in the Boston neighborhood of Roxbury, only this and one other building are extant. This building, built in 1876, was the 'brew house' its fifth floor having been removed decades ago (see original image below). Used as a waste paper processing plant from the 1920's to early 1980's, it was purchased by the Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1984 and is currently used for storage.

Every Friday, Mrs Bowes-Lyon from some nearby huge country seat used to sneak out for a few gins at the rather rough and ready Kettle Inn. Before her driver took her home, she always enjoyed watching ‘those working men’ filling up the tender of the 11.05am goods from Norwich. “If only that was gin” she secretly thought. my fave teas from teality . Genmaicha and Silk Empress, to name a couple.. :)
Read in a magazine that tea provides promising health benefits whether cooked or sipped. Helps to prevent cancer, heart disease, and possibly reduce stroke, obesity, arthritis and diabetes!! Been drinking a cup o' tea every morning... also helps to keep me warm and wake me up:)

Time for luwak cupping session. The kopi luwak that I had was prepared by a special technique to brew coffee. The coffee was brewed in a vacuum coffee maker, or in other name is siphon coffee maker. This method help to separate the coffee mixture from the coffee dust, hence create a tea-like texture of the coffee.
