The bread was made with 4 simple & basic ingredients: sourdough starter, white flour & a tiny bit of rye/whole wheat flour, salt and water. I threw in about 3 tablespoons of ground flax seed and dried blueberries for taste. Original recipe @the Fresh Loaf

that's it! it's so simple it's practically fool proof, and it's amazing - very moist! (not especially good for the diet, tho!)
What did you call me?! Oh, man. The jokes keep coming. This fougasse was made with bacon drippings, chopped bacon and herbs de provence. Apparently, it's more traditional to use butter or olive oil in the bread. I dare you to complain.
jumpin' on the bread bandwagon. i made the dough in my breadmaker (cheater) and then folded it over the pesto and baked. came out really good, but the pesto makes it quite salty.

Just can't resist taking photos of their bread .... a good 'subject' that's easy to capture AND eat too. :)

Recipe #2 from Whole Grain Baking - Maple Walnut Oat Bread. This was also delicious, but I wouldn't grind the oats as tiny as suggested, and would probably add more maple extract for flavor. The glaze on top was perfect, though!
Since I've already done a 365 photo project, this year I'm learning to bake great bread. Rather than A Loaf A Day (egads!), I set a goal of baking 100 loaves with no specific timeframe. You can follow along on the blog I made for it at anirama.com/100loaves/. I'm up to number 8 as of 1/11/12.
This image is of my second loaf of the project - my first attempt at ciabatta. The flavor and crust were excellent, but I folded raw flour into it during the final stretch and fold step. The raw flour didn't get absorbed into the dough and made a rather nasty ribbon of flour through most of the loaf. That's why I'm learning to do this right.
I won't be putting all the blog pictures on my flickr account, but do be prepared to see the best ones in this stream.
Possibly the nicest bread I've made yet. We made this into garlic bread as part of a welcome dinner for Owen's beloved Grandma Camille.
