This scarf was so, so, so fun to knit. The yarn was lovely to work with and I think it was the perfect yarn for this project (even though I used it as a substitution--the pattern called for Rowan Felted Tweed). The color I chose reminds me of wheat...outdoors...nature...
I altered some things significantly--see here for the scarf in the book. I made mine a solid color, as I was going for a classier, simplistic, and less kiddish look. I also omitted the fringe, as I thought the scarf would be beautiful without it. I'm very pleased with the results.

I went to the shop to have my locs maintained by a professional... I've been in my locking process for about 14 months now and this is the first time since the beginning that I've had some professional help... it was GREAT!
Needless to say, I needed a lot of work... I was in that shop for HOURS!
Braided Star, Corona Star Series (Maria Sinayskaya)
squares, 8 units, no glue
After folding this set of stars (well, if you can call 3 stars a "set") it dawned on me that I have another star to apply this trick on. So I grabbed this one, took it apart, changed just a bit - and there you have it! Yet another 8-pointed star with braided center:)
