After folding this set of stars (well, if you can call 3 stars a "set") it dawned on me that I have another star to apply this trick on. So I grabbed this one, took it apart, changed just a bit - and there you have it! Yet another 8-pointed star with braided center:)

On the front porch of Whitehall sits to small marble urns with braided vine handles. Very beautiful pieces carved from a solid block of marble.

More photos from Edmonton's Scott Kelby Worldwide photowalk. This bronze mural of a Ukrainian family sits by the wading pool on the north end of the grounds of the legislature. It is a tribute to the settlers that left thier homeland and came to Canada to start a new life. The long braid on the back of this statue reminded me of the braided decoration often seen on traditional Ukranian breads called "Paska". The braided bread is symbolic of eternal life which is what the settlers have given to our great country.

not too shabby eh? I think I did this 3 weeks after I learned how to knit in 2009. I wish I could remember where I put the pattern!

Here's what I look like with my hair braided. Not what I usually wear everyday. This is like my first time wearing them in 5 years. I just put them in so my hair wouldn't tangle up in my sleep. Irish curls are like that ;D I remind myself of Laura Ingalls. Seriously, all I need is 2 pink ribbons to put on the ends.
