My trainer was showing me how to braid his hair yesterday real quick - I forget what she called this one, but I think it's pretty cool looking.
It's been raining all day for the past two days but I watch the radar map and run out to see him when there is an hour or so break!! I groom him and get all the dirt off of him - he's been filthy! More bad weather for tomorrow - at least it will help all the flowers that are blooming!!
Sorry so slow in commenting - been so busy these past couple weeks - can't seem to keep up!!!

Every year I tell myself that this is too much work for what its worth. Then I smell the sweetgrass wafting in the summer breeze and I can't resist...the spell has been cast.

I fear someone is using my photo for less than noble purposes ... so ... I will make it private for awhile! The onions were so beautiful on their own but improved on this heirloom background and ps :>) I love these brightly colored wool braided rugs that my Grandmother made so many years ago and grace the floors or our more modern home.
My $40 hair braid... But I had fun! The girl said it took her a couple months to learn the basics of fancy braids, but she's been doing fancy braids for about 7 years now.
TTree Braids: Curly wet and wavy tree braids- once product such as water and mouse is applied to this hair- currently, no product at all added, not even water.

Saw a hexagon afghan in Woolhelmina's projects and the pattern reminded me of braids. So, third version of how to make a braid into a scarf.
The braids are actually sewn into the hair, which is tightly plaited in cornrows onto the head. The things women do to look good!
