October 23, 2014.

Actually taken on October 24. Somehow missed another day. ;)

Another edition of Primavera Club ended yesterday in Madrid. There has been a lot of controversy surrounding this year's festival: the differences between the line-up of bands in Barcelona and Madrid, the new location for holding the concerts (both decisions were never explained by the organization) and finally the last minute decision of the city's mayor to cut the capacity of one auditorium from 800 to 100 people based on silly arguments after the big failures they did, that ended up on the tragedy that occurred in Halloween last month were 5 people died due to negligence of the event's organization that was not correctly followed up during the party's preparation by the City Council's specialists.

Although all were problems, it seems people enjoyed, what else can we do to relieve some pressure on our daily lives and disconnect a little bit from all bad news we're getting used to listen every day? Of course, people is not going to forget all the mistakes done and it's our duty to complain responsibly, otherwise it would be a tragedy for our society, a robots one.

Well, having said that above picture was taking last year during the concert we attended from a Canadian Band called BRAIDS. The performance of these guys was excellent, an authentic pleasure for our ears.

We also made braided jump ropes. They took unwanted T-shirts and cut them up into strips, which we braided together and attached handles to.

Dracaena braunii is a species of the genus Dracaena. It is also known as Dracaena sanderiana, after the German–English gardener Henry Frederick Conrad Sander (1847–1920). Common names include Sander's dracaena, ribbon dracaena, lucky bamboo, curly bamboo, Chinese water bamboo, friendship bamboo, Goddess of Mercy plant, Belgian evergreen, and ribbon plant.

It is marketed in the developed world as a Chinese decorative plant "lucky bamboo" (although unrelated to bamboo and not native to Asia), propagated from short cuttings, usually in water. Dracaena braunii has long been associated with the Eastern practice of feng shui. Lucky bamboo is believed to be an ideal example of the thriving wood and water element, with the addition of a red ribbon sometimes tied around the stalks which is believed to "fire" the positive flow of energy or chi in the room. The number of stalks also has meaning: three for happiness; five for wealth; six for health. (Four stalks are avoided since the word 'four' in Chinese sounds too similar to the word for 'death'.)

Keeping lucky bamboo inside house and business places is believed to bring happiness and prosperity and this belief has promoted a huge sales of lucky bamboo shoots grown in decorative pots.

This is my latest pet creation for all cat lovers-hope you like it!

Braid 1 of a braid-for-CD trade. Since it's a 6-person group, I'll end up braiding at least 4 of them for two CDs. It's no chore when the hair is a joy to braid! ....and when they say, "oh, do whatever you feel like."

These are hair designs by Katje Sabin, Chicago IL. Please contact mamagotcha at gee mail dot com if you are interested in hiring Katje to braid or teach.

My good friend, Janer (shown below), was the hair stylist and overall helper for the Frida shot. This is one spectacularly beautiful girl. You can't even really tell she has impetigo all over her face.

Serena was not a good sport for this shot. She doesn't mind dressing up, but she hates braids. She has a thing about hair. Still, she loves Janer, so she allowed it.

P.S. So you can see I added the unibrow and mustache.

Another victim of the Ten Street's scheme...with only paving and streetlights to show where the road used to be.

this is a dutch crown braid, that i have had in for two days now, that's why it's so fuzzy. and the quality of this photo is not so great. let's call it 'art-sy' and be happy. ;0)

the dutch crown braid is my new favorite because it's holds in position with out a lot of pins and such.

I was listening to "date rape" by sublime interestingly enough.
