The Border Collie is actually herding dog-breed and an operating created while in the Anglo- for herding livestock, particularly lamb, border region. It was specially bred for compliance and intellect.
Regarded exceptionally dynamic, highly intelligent , acrobatic and running, they often times take on fantastic accomplishment in sheepdog trials and dog sports. They're generally reported while all domestic dogs.'s most clever Border Collies continue to be employed of herding livestock throughout the world, in their standard function.

Borders shop at Inverness Retail Park about a month after its closure in December 2009. A pity as it had a good selection of books of perhaps limited general appeal which would not be found in Waterstones let alone Tesco. eg a selection of the Loeb editions of classical authors. Not much use to me but illustrative of the wide range of stock they carried. A cynic might say that's why they went bust. This last week Waterstone's chief executive has been given the boot after a poor performance and the new man says they they need to move away from celebrity autogiographies and trashy potboilers (not his exact words).
Just after we set the markers the naeigbour farmer plowed his land. He has to get used to the "new line" in the land...

we were detained by border guards for being in a border zone without proper documents. initially he threatened fines and to take us to town, etc. instead i got him to feed us lunch and send us on our way after an hour of telling us about life on the border ;) there's a blog post about this one.

The border fence can be seen meandering through the center of this scene. Notice the road coming down from the Mexican side, which is the reason for this fence. It is made of old railroad rails welded together and is a barrier to vehicles but not foot traffic.
