Used my 85mm f1.2 lens. Cut a heart on a regular sheet of white paper and held it over the lens :). The hearts actually look more defined than when I made a hood to fit over the lens.

Ein feuriger Sonnenuntergang im Winterwald. Durch den Fokus auf den Waldboden, entsteht ein wunderschön brennender Bokeh im Hintergrund... :D

Experimenting after Christmas and just before the decorations had to come down to make some different shaped bokeh effects. Thanks to Dave and Phil for their company and assistance on this.
A beautiful sunny day today at Greylake - a tad chilly though.
I really want to get a "teal-in-flight" shot and this is the best so far - ideally I want to get one with the upper wings showing however that's something to work at. They are not an easy target - on the most part that fly fast and low with a few jinking manoeuvres thrown in for good measure. Luckily this one was a bit higher as part of a huge "duck eruption" caused by a passing peregrine.
Large It.
I do believe that pine needles make for a very interesting background blur....
Thank you for your comments and faves – they are greatly appreciated!

Bokeh effect from thousands of lights in the trees along Ballard Avenue on February 9, 2021 in Seattle, Washington, USA
I have been sick for a couple of days and now my kids are coming down with the same thing. I might not have time to look at everyone's streams for a couple of days. But I'll do my best.

As an antidote to the somewhat disturbing jester shots, here's a very different one from New Orleans. It's a shot of a chain link fence covering a glass window. I shot it with a 50mm prime lens at f/1.8, so the depth of field is only an inch or so deep. The reflections on the glass, along with the shallow dof, made for some nice bokeh.
As usual, all comments, suggestions, constructive criticism, etc., are welcomed and greatly appreciated.
