As I sat in my garden enjoying a nice cup of tea I liked how the late afternoon light was illuminating the grass.
Thanks for all the lovely comments and favs on yesterday's busy bee :)
For "Looking close... on Friday!" the theme: "Bokeh Only".
I had fun playing with this theme... trying to make a photo of my little elephant made of blue and white beads standing on shiny green paper, both in bokeh.
This is the result, not completely satisfied though.
I wish I had had a Helios lens for this challenge (really love that bokeh, it gives), but I haven't... I guess that's life, isn't it?......dealing with what you got and still be happy and keep having dreams ;-))
Have a lovely start of your weekend and a very happy Friday ^_^
Mi piacciono i barboni.
(Alda Merini)
.. Oh turn around and I'll be there
There's a scar right through my heart but I'll bear it again
Oh I thought we were the human race
But we were just another borderline case
And the stars reach down and tell us there's always one escape..

Aprile 2015.
Named from the similarity of their prominent proboscis that looks like the beak of a snipe. Adults can often be seen sitting on vegetation or on tree trunks waiting to catch and pounce on passing prey. Some species of snipe flies are hematophagous as adults and some are predatory of insects. Larvae develop as predators in the soil and wood detritus. Found in wet meadows, marshes and woodland margins. Can sometimes be know as the Down-Looker Fly as they have the habit of perching head-downward on tree trunks.
(Kahlil Gibran)
.. Well, I see trees of green and red roses too
I'll watch them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
Well, I see skies of blue, and I see clouds of white
And the brightness of day, I like the dark
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world..

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a pink or purple day at Color my World Daily and we celebrate bokeh in monotone at the fabulous Smile on Saturday Group.
And since I got another lensball (yes, I know it looks exactly the same as my other lensballs but this one is a 50mm), I told myself why not ? Lets contribute to feed my obsession and take a picture of my addiction (yes, I’m addicted to lensballs and this is my 4th one… so far). So I did an experimentation with my lensball, a mirror and one of my led spots. And of course everything is purple since it is a purple day :-).
Have an amazing « purple bokeh in monotone » day my friends and lets celebrate, since no one knows what kind of day we will have tomorrow !
See you later my friends and have an amazing day !
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !!

Looking Close ...on Friday! ~ Solo Bokeh
Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. All comments and Faves are very much appreciated
Sometimes there is only bokeh and no subject. I keep these odd findings in a special folder. Today's theme for the group Looking close on Friday inspired me to share.
I got Jane to pose by a window so I could capture some of the super bubbly bokeh you can get from this Polish projector lens.
I was getting some harsh shadows from the sides of the chair she was under so I used a little fill flash.
There is a sort of pleasing softness to this lens that will likely make it good for portraits of humans. For the cat, it softens her fur more, making her look prettier than ever.
This lens was made by Łódzkie Zakłady Kinotechniczne and according to Wikipedia, that was the only factory in Poland to make projectors.
