Fiddler crabs are comical little creatures, with their eyes on stalks and one mighty claw. They use that claw to wave in the air and fight each in courtship rituals. It's all for show though, because they run like the dickens at the first sign of trouble or camera, scattering and ducking into holes in the sand and crevices in the mangrove roots. Hundreds of them can disappear in a matter of seconds, which makes them a challenging subject to shoot.

Sorry more bokeh - this is cos I am playing with my 50mm lens atm - been ignoring it for a while cos it is soooo noisy. However, had a bit of fun with it yesterday and this is another of the resulting images.
Also am going to attach a very interesting article I have just read regarding photography - it is called '10 Ways Photography Can Change Your Life' - it really resonated with me. I hope you enjoy it peeps x

As an antidote to the somewhat disturbing jester shots, here's a very different one from New Orleans. It's a shot of a chain link fence covering a glass window. I shot it with a 50mm prime lens at f/1.8, so the depth of field is only an inch or so deep. The reflections on the glass, along with the shallow dof, made for some nice bokeh.
As usual, all comments, suggestions, constructive criticism, etc., are welcomed and greatly appreciated.
The texture in this photo is that of my scratched up windsheild.
