Finally - bokeh and off camera flash. Hubby thought I was nuts playing with Christmas lights - what fun.
Why do we call a blurry background Bokeh? Does that make it sound better? What not call it a short focal length? Oh, Bokeh does sound better.
My late father would be pleasantly surprised to learn that his hundreds of out of focus photos are now considered fashionable and trendy.

Since years I use this tombstone as a neutral object to test protrait capabilities of a lens. And of cause it's out of focus quality.
And I cannot stop complaining about vandalism since one part of the cross is broken.

this time I used a Samyang MF 85mmF/1,4
sooc. because the colours are nice and abstract and all that artsy stuff. first relay for life (2013)!
I am soon going on holiday so thought I would post a fun bokeh shot just to help me fully get into holiday mode! Thanks for all your comments and sorry I haven't been around in the last couple of weeks - I'll be back soon!
Today's shot is a pretty basic Partners shot with the nice soft out of focus castle in the background. After seeing some similar ones with the Dreamlights I sure wish they had them turned on when I was there. Hopefully next year. Thanks for looking everyone!

Una flor para hoy, me llamo la atención porque nunca la habia visto, es del tamaño de una moneda de 1 euro!!
Happy Bokeh Friday!!
Mejor en grande.
I actually like the outtake better, but there is something about the bokeh in this one that appeals to me.
A terrifically tremendous Thursday to you. And to your friend in the background too.
The background bokeh comes from a photo by an Auto-Takumar 55mm f2.2. I think you'll recognize the girl with the earring!
A thumbnail for a video on this most subjective of subjects, where I discuss the possible links between art (and blur) and bokeh in photography:
Les couleurs de l'automne offrent un charme incomparable qui sublime le plus commun des sujets.

today is pretty hot... i took a walk and bought "kembang panganten" flower (i dont know what the latino's name for it... sometimes the seller always gives flowers a weird names and it makes me hard to tracing it on google) to be placed in my balcony... thank God i'm a woman... so no one will ask me question why i love flowers :P
if that flower has bloomed... i will make photograph of it... but i think it takes time...
