Seeking blessings of elders by touching their feet is an age old tradition in India. In this picture, a college girl after worshiping in the temple, touching the feet of a elder lady and seeking her blessings.

I haven't posted a photo with scripture in ages, but after spending some time with the white deer herd in Parkanaur Forest Park, I truly felt blessed and just had to share this pic and words :)
This was back in December one gorgeous frosty but sunny morning :)

And the maize-field grew and ripened,
Till it stood in all the splendor
Of its garments green and yellow,
Of its tassels and its plumage,
And the maize-ears full and shining
Gleamed from bursting sheaths of verdure.

Count Common Blessings
Psalm 106:1; 1 Thessalonians 5:18; 1 Timothy 6:6–8
We prize but little what we share only in common with the rest, or with the generality of our species.… The common benefits of our nature entirely escape us. Yet these are the great things. These constitute what most properly ought to be accounted blessings of Providence; what alone, if we might so speak, are worthy of its care. Nightly rest and daily bread, the ordinary use of our limbs, and senses, and understandings, are gifts which admit of no comparison with any other. Yet, because almost every man we meet with possesses these, we leave them out of our enumeration. They raise no sentiment; they move no gratitude. Now, herein, is our judgment perverted by our selfishness. A blessing ought in truth to be the more satisfactory, the bounty at least of the donor is rendered more conspicuous, by its very diffusion, its commonness, its cheapness; by its falling to the lot, and forming the happiness, of the great bulk and body of our species, as well as of ourselves.… It is in those things which are so common as to be no distinction, that the amplitude of the divine benignity is perceived.

With so many blessings in our lives, it is important to stop and realised exactly what they are. Without these pauses, we run the risk of taking them for granted.
These are 10 blessings in my life:
1.Wife (The love of my life)
2.Daughter (Pure gift from above)
3.Family (I have a loving mother and father and a positive childhood without life scars)
4.Friends (People I know I can count on)
5.A roof over my head (Over 100,000 people in Australia alone Wesley Mission’s More Than a Bed Report)
6.Employment (as annoying as it can be, I do not envy those in unemployment)
7.I have running water – see photo above (According to www.globalissues.org 1.1 Billion people lack adequate access to clean water!)
8.Music (No matter if it’s simple sounds or complex pieces, it is a joy of my everyday life)
9.Australia (A country like no other, on a whole free of discrimination)
10.Life in its self is a blessing!
I hope I am not the only one that feels blessed today. If you too feel blessed, let the world know about…stop and count your blessings.

Broken B+W 55mm XS-Pro Clear MRC-Nano 007 Lens Filter.
I really enjoyed photographing the broken glass and experimenting with different lighting.
Lighting:
Natural light
Small L.E.D. flashlight
I put the flashlight up to the cameras viewfinder.
Shining the light at different angles gives various results.
The flashlight gave a nice cast on the top half of this photo so I cropped it.
Cropping is the only edit on this photo.
This is a piece that I just finished. I traded it for a quilted purse from a very talented quilt artist friend. The quote is an Irish blessing that she requested.
This was done with a pointed brush, sumi ink and Dr. Martin's Radiant Concentrated Watercolors on Arches Text Wove. I used a rainbow palette because these are the colors that make up light. :-)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
This small Egret has been a joy to watch. From time to time He is at the lake. It is wonderful to watch him hunt and eat. He spends a sufficient amount of time cleaning his feathers beautifully also. I am not usualy able to get a close of a shot before he fly's away. I thought this was a different shot of a great bird~

This was taken on a frosty Saturday morning when the sun made a wonderful appearance…it's been missing pretty much ever since. The weather has been wet and dreary, the girls are hoping for snow…so am I.
I told my husband I was going to need a hovercraft soon because I'm tired of wading through mud to do chores :-) I was getting rather frustrated this morning slopping through all that mud pushing my wheelbarrow of hay but had to apologize to the Lord for my bad attitude. Even in the muddy slop I can rejoice at the fact that I am able to be tromping through all that mud pushing my wheelbarrow and that He has given me a new day…a day to live for him in whatever crosses my path whether that be mud and slop or challenges with my kids or just life in general.
I've been convicted lately that somehow in the midst of whatever struggles come my way, I must still rejoice and find peace in the day that I have been given. Of course working this out is a daily challenge :-) But life is good and ultimately God is good, he is my source of strength. It's when I rely on my own strength that life becomes that much more difficult.
I have been blessed richly in this life. Even to catch the glimpse of the sun on a mostly dreary day is a huge blessing. The question is do I focus on the glimpse of the sun or the dreariness of the day…that is what makes the difference in any given day. Where does my heart lie…in what I have or what I don't have…
"Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare."

Yesterday I uploaded 2 other images of minature buildings here in Antalya at the Mini-city...it is amazing that all these great little details are so well preserved in small scale..These are some of the most amazing attractions that one can visit while staying in Istanbul ( the real ones )
Check out the fine details !!!!!!
This is a 3 exposure HDR image..
Saint Antoine Church in Beyoglu
The construction began in 1906 and it was completed and opened to service in 1912... 6 yrs later. Its architect, Giulo Mongeri, who was born in Istanbul, gave it an Italian Neo-Gothic style. The church which was governed by Italian priests is the greatest Catholic Church in Istanbul with the biggest number of congregation.
The church which is located in the center of a courtyard is entered through the gate on the roadside between two apartment buildings which were built to provide funding for the church. The church was built by concrete, and has neogothic style.
The Church of St Anthony (usually called St Antoine here) was established here in 1725 to serve transient foreigners and the many families who stayed on in the sultan's dominions.
The present red brick Italian neo-Gothic building replaced the older church.
