Today is the start of Creativity Boot Camp, and it's pushed me to journal again. Before we were married, I journaled more than daily, but since then it has been infrequent at best. It's something that I have noticed missing, an outlet that has disappeared, but that I'm certainly looking forward to regaining. So, here's to a renewal of old habits, to self-discovery, to the realization of how much of a blessing we all are to one another. (Lyrics on the left-hand page are from the Fleet Foxes "Helplessness Blues".)

There are no mistakes, no coincidences. All events are blessings given to us
to learn from.

When you think of life, think first about the blessings you have. Don't focus on misfortunes, for they are but a faint shadow.

5:30 am quickly turns to 8:00am, birds sing praises, His people offer blessings.
Father, may they clearly know Your will and achieve the height and depth of spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10 May their lives be a credit to You, Lord; and what’s more, may they continue to delight You by doing every good work and growing in the true knowledge that comes from being close to You. 11 Strengthen them with Your infinite power, according to Your glorious might, so that they will have everything they need to hold on and endure hardship patiently and joyfully. 12 Thank You, Father, as You have made us[d] eligible to receive our portion of the inheritance given to all those set apart by the light. 13 You have rescued us from dark powers and brought us safely into the kingdom of Your Son, whom You love 14 and in whom we are redeemed and forgiven of our sins [through His blood].~ Colossians 1
This one of my..."Simple Blessing" shots. One that I enjoy to look at . I would like to say thank you to my flickr contacts for "sticking" with me, keeping me in your thoughts, and inspiring me EVERYDAY. You are all awesome and each person is inspirational in different ways.

The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings.

The compulsion to do good is an innate American trait. Only North Americans seem to believe that they always should, may, and actually can choose somebody with whom to share their blessings. Ultimately this attitude leads to bombing people into the acceptance of gifts.
Ivan Illich
The blessings we evoke for another descend upon ourselves.

Lighting a candle here tonight and thinking of a sweet first time mama who has started that beautiful dance to bring her babe earthside. ♥
Taken during Polish Woodstock Festival in front of the stage. It wasn't an only priest headbanging :)

The rain suddenly started falling...She walked towards the lake while she was waiting for her tour bus taking her to her next adventure... Then the swans joined her...
Like a blessing this rain came... Life is so beautiful... so so beautiful!
"Lord bless you all ever and ever — and may He lead you quickly out of this big humbug, the world! May you never be enchanted by this old witch, the world! May Shankara help you! May Umâ open the door of truth for you and take away all your delusions!"
(Swami Vivekananda letter to Letter to Mary Hale - February 01, 1895)
In this pic, After Ganga Arti, this Aghori Baba (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aghori) appeared and the crowd nearly got mad to get a glimpse of him. He blessed everyone around and gave a "rudraksh" to everyone who came to him for blessings. This was shot when people were nearly fighting their way to reach him for blessing at Dsaswamegh Ghat at varanasi.

Its been a long time since i have uploaded my last picture. I know i have to be little more active and i will be :) Sorry for not visiting all your wonderful photo-streams since some time, will take some time and follow up with all of you :)

>> May God give you…For every storm a rainbow, for every tear a smile, for every care a promise and a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh a sweet song and an answer for each prayer.

Totally trying this shot again once everyone goes home from the hospital when Abigail won't need to be wrapped up all the time and I have more control over lighting. If I'd been thinking, I would have asked her daddy to reverse his hands so the one with the wedding ring would be on the outside. Hindsight...
Abigail is much happier today. ;)
