Treat. Delicious. I need more.
I bought this little treat last weekend while on my way to dropping off some cards to sell
at a store in Lakeview. We just happened to drive past this fabulous bakery on our way over. I think it is pretty safe to say that this was heavenly.
Perhaps one of the reasons why yew trees are considered holy is that they "bleed", a reddish sap seeps from wounds. This is part of the yew tunnel at Easton

Native to Japan, Bleeding Hearts are excellent perennial for the shade garden and they are very attractive with their light transparent green colour, deeply divided and fern like foliage and blooms are borne on arching flower stems above the foliage.
On Belmont. I've heard they make tasty items, but have not sampled any myself - don’t have much of a sweet tooth.
One could make jokes about “punk rock pastry”, and spitting, but I don’t think that’s their intent.
