The bleeding heart pigeon (seen at Chicago's Lincoln Park Zoo) is only found in the Philippines and it's unusual, among others, because of the patch of red blood feathers on its breast/chest like it's wounded or something.
the blood is meant to represent love and how people keep their feelings bottled up inside them. Either because their scared, find it hard to express them selves or simply just trying to live up to their image.
..... i find it deeply interesting when people react to images based on their fears and desires... and how a photo can have such personal reference in which connects strongly to the audience.

Bleeding Heart (Lamprocapnos spectabilis) flowers during the Spring and Early Summer with pendant shaped flowers. Here is a Macro shot of the flowers, which start of small but get larger further down the stem.

This is one of my favorite flowers along with the Columbine. I estimated here are about 300 flowers on this Bleeding Hearts Plant.
Text on the Battle of Lexington and Concord monument to Jonas Brown at the center of Concord's River/Monument Street, a common sight on every Quad Cycles ride.
THIS PLANT IS CALLED THE BLEEDING HEART. IT COMES IN ALL DEEP RED BUT THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VARIETY. I MADE THE SHOT WITH MY CANON 7D AND THE 100MM F/2.8 LENS AND THE THREE EXTENSION TUBES FOR 4.5X. THANKS TO THOSE WHO VIEW, COMMENT AND FAV MY PHOTOS

Still unsure whether it's Oak bracket (Inonotus dryadeus) or Bleeding Tooth Fungus (Hydnellum peckii) but inclined to think the former.. Found on the stump of a dead eucalyptus tree at the Botanical Gardens, Singleton, Swansea
