All that planting and potting is starting to pay off. I planted two bleeding hearts in amongst the ferns in a damp, shady corner below the pond. Just discovered that this one in beginning to bloom and looks happy in its new home. Yes!
I thought some red wine or cranberry juice would be perfect for this concept. But, as I discovered much to my chagrin, droplets are too runny and liquidy to be of any good. So, this is actually a drop of raspberry cordial, nice and gooey.

Taken in the allotment of my parents-in-law. The sun already was quite low...

The bleeding yew tree at Nevern Church.
Supposedly, the legend states that the tree will continue to bleed until a Welshman sits on the throne in Nevern Castle. So there's still plenty of time to see this phenomenon.
