Calvin Harris apparently doesn’t appreciate being called by his stage name. Though we all know him by, well, Calvin Harris — his actual name is Adam Wiles and that’s what he prefers. Especially among his close friends and family.

“No one calls me Calvin,” the superstar DJ is quoted in a new report. “It’s horrible and it’s not my name. You might as well be calling me Mr. Blobby.”

We wouldn’t say it’s “horrible,” but alright then…

“At the start of my career people were meeting me for the first time and I let it slide. It was sort of a nickname.”

But, when a girlfriend was calling him by his stage name, he thought it was taken too far…

“I was like, ‘I’m sorry this is ridiculous. You’re speaking to my alter ego.‘”

Understandably so. Of course, it’s an easy slip up considering Calvin Harris is a typical sounding name. We know Skrillex isn’t Sonny Moore’s name, just like Marshmello is definitely not the name of the masked sugary treat.

Next time you see Adam, make sure you take it easy on his stage name!

So last night I spent a bit of time getting acquainted with my new TV tuner box.

It has two terrestrial tuners and one satellite tuner, and to plug the satellite feed in I needed a coaxial cable with an F-plug on each end.

I know, fact, that we've got a little tin somewhere with screw on F plugs in. I also know we've got a short reel of shielded co-ax. Could I find them last night? Could I hell!

I did a very uncharacteristic thing and went to a shop to buy a pre made lead on my way home. Fortunately it was £2.20 and I can live with that. :)

Apologies as you've already had essentially this shot, possibly even this year. Bad form I say.

Bit annoyed that I got my shadow in the photo....

The community group the Darkwood Crew held its first “Walk about a bit” for kids and adults alike. The first 1k group lead by Karen and the second 3k group where lead by Demi, who where both from the Pals of the Privies community group. While I fallowed Terry from the Darkwood crew whose 5K walk ringed Ferguslie park while trying to avoid the main roads for safety and where I shoot these photos before heading back to the green. Here we had lunch, played bingo as the kids bounced around in the inflatable castles and all had a great time…

A bit of Green for Christmas. The PP is from American Crafts, the ornament is a Poppy Stamp die which I cut with green foil card and glued to the white card. I then trimmed around the ornament. The edging is a Martha Stewart punch. Sentiment white embossed is from Kaisercraft.
