Beginning and eternity in one glance... these beginnings of early Spring always take my breath away.
Silhouetted against an unobstructed sky the different shapes on different trees are a delight to see and an uplift to the spirit. Presented here as painterly rendering of tree branches with their small leaf buds signaling the start of the springtime season.

I've been reading about different techniques to use a French press. Most of them miss the point. It's not rocket science.

It's no secret that the City of San Francisco is indeed quite Imperial in regards to its sophistication, which is unmatched by Los Angeles and other West-Coast cities; mesmerizing, which its fog, skyline and bridges offer picturesque views to leave a lifelong impression of positive vibes; and its economy, which maintains SF as a top-tier [media, tech, maritime, and financial] center. Bluestone River Tributary
Had the pleasure of sharing this beautiful place w/ my good friend Brent McGuirt last weekend - check out Brent's new website. The hike is easy and full of beauty as the trail parallels Brush Creek and then the Bluestone River. Numerous wildflowers were blooming and the new greens of spring were beginning to emerge. The trail leads to the point where White Oak Creek empties into the Bluestone River. To access the waterfall requires a tricky scramble and climb, but it is well worth it.
I first visited this waterfall close to 20 years ago, and have returned only a few times since. . . glad I finally made it back.

Things end and new things begin. That’s life and although it’s sometimes difficult, ultimately helps us learn and grow. Just like life, obstacles need overcoming, but once on the other side and facing fresh challenges, old ones seem so much more insignificant. Today lots of children are heading off to new challenges, some taking the first steps and others making much bigger ones. Change is always difficult to deal with, but if I have learned anything in my life, that it’s better to face the inevitable with excitement and passion than to hold on to the past. I wish both my children all the best in their new horizons and know that once over a few hurdles, exciting things are always on the other side! One proud dad!
