On the day of your gladness also, and at your appointed feasts and at the beginnings of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings. They shall be a reminder of you before your God: I am the LORD your God. Numbers 10:10

Title: President Richard Powell, (First President, 1913-1933)
Creator: Valdosta State University
Date: 1913-1933
Description: President Richard Powell, (First President, 1913-1933) was hired to oversee the creation of the school in 1911 and served as President of the college for its first 20 years. He had a background in teacher training and had taught in colleges from Georgia to New Mexico. This inspired his choice of the “Spanish Mission” architecture that still defines the school. His early challenges included facing a shortage of funds and countering the popular belief that “girls can be educated more cheaply than boys.” SGSNC grew successfully in its nine years of existence. 1918 brought new challenges to SGSNC: both Powell and the students were very active in war work during World War I, with President Powell taking a leave of absence to head up Red Cross activities in the southeast. The school weathered the 1918 Flu epidemic that same year—although it had to close briefly.

Tree stump near my home chopped off probably because it was sick. Fresh shoots started growing shortly after... It wants to live.
Our neighbor's crape myrtle tree is beginning to blossom. Unfortunately the white crape myrtle that my wife and I have has yet to blossom this season.
On New Year's Day we celebrate new beginnings...but time continues to march on regardless of our plans.

So.... I FINALLY GOT AN SLR!!!
*two hours later*
Okay, I just woke up from passing out. So yeah, My dad bought me a Nikon D3100 as a birthday and graduation gift. This is a huge leap in my life as a Photographer. I started out in Flickr using a camera phone and eventually got a Sony Point and Shoot camera (this photo is dedicated for my trusty camera)
I'd like to thank the Flickr community for believing in my talent before I got a "fancy" camera (:
Just think for a second how it really starts always .. You are scared of telling the person that you love him/her just cause you don't know if that person loves you back .. And then at times relationships ends cause of misunderstandings which is really sad .. But do you ever think at one moment you really love that relationship when you had it .. And whatever you did was good for you .. And you were all in love .. And at that time thats exactly what you wanted .. So if a good relationship ends don't be sad about it remember the part when you were happy in that relationship :) ..

The note in the picture was written by Hal's sister, Elizabeth so she could hold it up the window of the office where her father was holding a meeting. They (and we) had been waiting for this news for a long time!
