The first upload of the new year. Symbolically, it seems fitting that it show a 'new beginning.' Promise of what is to come later. Start of a new and wonderful cycle of life.
A tender new leaf of Victoria amazornica. It will grow to the huge dimensions of upto 3 metres of diameter when fully grown.
Pic shows a “baby butterfly” trying to come out of the chrysalis (pupa) but faced some difficulty. A passer-by ant who happened to know some midwifery stopped by to help by giving a big push. And life begins for a Papillon.
I captured this image of a tulip beginning to unfurl in the soft afternoon light from my kitchen window. I love the color, bud, and surrounding leaves.
this is a preview, and it's very rough
i have not had a chance to work out how to edit the colours on final cut pro yet, but will soon hopefully
this is the beginning of my film
maybe i'll upload a description soon
The Arthur M Anderson was the last vessel to depart Duluth for the 2021 shipping season and interestingly it was the first to arrive for the 2022 season. The arrival looked a lot like the departure as a mid-spring snow storm enveloped the region.

That ... and new beginnings; the theme for our family in 2012. The biggest change will be for Rachel. She is expecting her first child in March and I will be a granny!! I am so happy right now, that our family is together, launching the new year ... and making plans for the future. Today seemed the perfect day to share this wonderful news. ♥
This is an image of baby boy's first pair of shoes. Of course they had to be Converse!!
Thanks to everyone's wonderful support and comments in 2011. I am looking forward to the new year with all of you. I just couldn't miss the first Sliders Sunday of the year ... and you just know I slid this one a lot (some things never change)! LOL!!
Happy Sliders Sunday & Happy New Year!!

That's how we started. We spent the last few days looking for unusual places in order to give a different style to our photos. And so it happened. We found this abandoned building and simply started to implement some ideas. Be on the lookout for more.

Straw rolls are lying in the farm. The locomotive is taking many freights. The great nature covers everything silently. That’s a moment in life of the earth.
Today is the beginning of summer. Sadly our weather turned bad. I took this picture last weekend. I think this is better to represent summer instead of taking a picture in the cloudy and cold (we expect 18°C/ 66°F) weather today.
I hope you all enjoy the longest day of the year or if you are living in the southern hemisphere the shortest day of the year ;-) !

This was taken an early morning during my visit in Cairns Australia. I had just passed by a beautiful photography shop that had panorama photographies and it got me really inspired of taking my photography to another level. So the next day I booked a class with Gareth who taught me some really good stuff and the same early morning we got this shot.
It was really early and it was high tide at the moment, in other words slippery and pitch black. When the sun was up we saw a log coming in to the beach and then I was told that it could be crocodiles around that area. Luckily I ended up being fine, just ruined my shorts but I gained a lot of inspiration and knowledge, at this point my photography was taking a new turn.

My word of the year is 'change'
I've been thinking about changing my blog design for sometime,
still working on the details but I'm quite happy with it so far ...
