My Project 52 failed, which is sad, but I'm determined to rediscover my love of photography after quite a long period of apathy. I'm even going to attempt to resurrect my blog, which you can conveniently access here:
This theme couldn’t have come up at a better time for me, because they started putting up the walls for my new house this week. My husband passed away almost two years ago, after a long battle with cancer, and I have been struggling to keep up with the maintenance on our country home. so after living in the same place for 35 years, I am having a home built in a minimal maintenance community in town. It will be a big change for me, and I am looking forward to it. If things go according to schedule, I will be moving in May. So 2016 will be a year of “out with the old” (bunch of stuff to get rid of!) and in with the new. (lifestyle and house!)

After tropical Storm Irma many green acorns were blown off the oak trees. Nearby was an old oak tree stump.

There was…
A feeling of despair, that where we looked, from whatever vantage point; we saw only the helpless or the greed.
We say nothing as it’s not a fight we can win, yet we battle on in ourselves. Evermore interested in sensationalised events of those same helpless and greedy individuals.
We must remember that, if this is the path we want to take ourselves on, without anyway of controlling the narrative, in that we do our ethical best; we ought not to give time nor space to something, however much it is of a concern as, it only arms them and disarms us.
I'm going off the grid for 4 months time starting in just under 10 days! Can't wait to disappear from reality from a while, and working on a horse ranch in the high Sierra Nevada mountains sounds like an awesome way to do it! I hope everyone's summer is off to a great start, and if not, get out and adventure some!

Not far from its headwaters in Minnesota, the Mississippi river winds its way through quite different landscapes as it begins the journey to the gulf.
