i just wanted to say that i am alive, and i seriously am going to catch up on this project.
but this coming week i am going on a missions trip to washinton DC so i will not be able too. i will be using some disposable cameras to get some shots, as i cant bring my camera with me, so hopefully i'll bring back some good ones.

Because of construction at Cococay, our cruise itinerary was modified and that private island was replaced with Freeport on Grand Bahama Island. I think that people were generally fine, though a few were more vocal in their complaining. The captain during the session with guests and other crew leaders made a good point. We were a longer cruise and a shorter one that only went to Cococay and Nassau could not be well served with changing their itinerary. So we got to go to Freeport Harbour. We did not do any excursions, but walked around a bit in the shopping area right off the port. It is an industrial port with a dry dock - so from a boat geek POV, it was an excellent stop. Taken from onboard the Grandeur of the Seas and on terra firma at Freeport, Grand Bahama Island on Monday February 18th, 2019. These were from our Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas for a 9 Night Southeast Coast & Bahamas Cruise (February 14th through the 23rd, 2019). The itinerary include stops in Charleston (SC), Port Canaveral (FL), Freeport (Grand Bahama Island), Nassau (Bahamas) and Miami (FL) before heading back to Baltimore.
In fact it don't look good in the picture at all, because it reflects everything around it, like the water on the ground and stuff... In real, it was beautiful!
Over exposed, because I had the camera on Bulb setting, and even using f/22 it was quite bright. I like how it has left the merest ghosts of traffic...

I liked this photo because of the angle I took it at. The natural light coming into the room makes it look super bright. I wish I would have printed out a bigger version of the manual rather than the one that came in my iPhone box. I also wish that in the background I had tucked the strap hanging out into my roller cart.

Because of the problems with my USB-ports my favourite machine is being examined to see if anything can be done to fix it. So I might be without computer this weekend. I am getting a lot of stuff done now I am computerless so it is not really all that bad. But I miss you guys.

Bryan Peterson (center), chief of lock and dams section for the St. Paul District, discusses some of his concerns with Rock Island District personnel. The Rock Island District was called in to assist because they have the equipment, gates and expertise for this type of emergency work. The operation to pull out the old gate and replace it with the temporary gate took less than 12 hours to complete. The original gate, which was constructed when the lock and dam was being built in the 1930s, was severely damaged after being struck by a barge on May 16, 2013.
