Because Korea has such intense import controls (and maybe there's some nationalism in there, too), you see virtually no non-Korean makes of cars. There are occasional Toyotas, but that's about it.
One result of this is that Korean makes (which are associated in my mind with small sedans) have expanded to fill all the automotive ecological niches. This Land-Cruiser-looking vehicle, for instance, is a Hyundai.
The husband came home early yesterday and as I was taking a nap, he kissed me and I opened my eyes to find this in his hands. So beautiful! He knows how much I love purple, but magenta would be my 2nd choice when it comes to favorite colors. I love how the flowers just "pop" and that there were purple stones at the bottom of the vase. So sweet of him <3
four pictures i shot a while ago while testing some instax mini film in my diana.
the result is, i love it!!!
Because of the presence of many small waterfalls there is an abundance of flowers everywhere in the small mountain village in Spili (Crete).
"Too many families do not receive the tax relief they deserve simply because they don't have the information and means to access it," Governor Quinn said. "We want our working families to know about the Center for Economic Progress and Illinois' Earned Income Tax Credit, which will support economic growth and help them keep more of what they earn."
Since 1990 Center for Economic Progress (CEP) has helped hard-working, low-income families move from financial uncertainty to financial security. CEP offers free tax preparation at tax sites in Chicago, Springfield, and throughout Illinois. Tax season sites are open from late January until mid April. Other services at tax sites include: Financial Aid U (FAFSA); Checking and Savings Accounts; Prepaid Debit Card. Located at its Chicago Loop office is a year-round tax clinic providing free tax related financial services.
These services are provided with the essential assistance of donors and volunteers. Center for Economic Progress enjoys a reputation as a trusted service provider, a strong and valuable partner in the communities served, and a responsible steward of donors' investments. Charity Navigator has awarded Center for Economic Progress with its four-star (excellent) rating.

Some years ago I took a rainbow pigment pad and used direct to paper to make this little rectangular color piece, and then just put it aside when I couldn't figure out what to do with it. Last year I turned one of the rectangles into a card and then last week I found another one in my stash. I decided to use it behind a white doily for this card but incredibly I found that the pigment ink had not become permanent and the yellow ink was rubbing off on everything it touched! Yikes! I was shocked because this was inked at least 5 years ago! What to do? I finally decided to coat the whole thing with Versamark and clear embossing powder...and that took care of the rub-off. So...I die cut the flower and added punched elements to fancy it up...added a brad and stamped sentiment...and that half a white doily. Embossing folder is by the Paper Studio and the card came together perfectly!

Because of the kickstand plate and the bulk of the kickstand possibly interfering with the cable routing below the chain stays, the rear derailleur cable will run along the top on this one.
Because of the record-breaking cold temperatures we've been having, I've been sticking close to home. Took this photo this afternoon in our living room.
Because of the spring like weather in winter here in washington, the plants are starting to bloom ....

Created by our Director of Music, Jorge Rodriguez and supported by Anibal Cruz
Meet the Artists
Anibal Cruz
Cuban born tenor Anibal Cruz was drawn to music and performed from an early age at multiple events in Cuba.
A gifted musician, Anibal's love of music is an integral part of who he is, however he started his professional career not as a musician, but as a medical doctor. He entered the Instituto Superior de Ciencias Medicas (ISCM) - Facultad de Medicina in Camaguey, Cuba in 1980, received a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1987, obtained specialization in Gynecology and Obstetrics in 1990, and practiced OB/GYN medicine in Cuba until 2001. During those years, he skillfully combined his medical career and his passion for music by remaining actively involved in music events. He appeared in Cuban television programs, recorded songs with notable interpreters, and earned numerous music awards.
In 2001 Anibal left Cuba for Mexico with an engagement as soloist of the group 'Oasis de Cuba', and remained with this group for several years.
Today Anibal lives in Miami, FL with his family, and enjoys a music career as vocalist in group and solo performances.

Because the pants for the default outfit are insane. They basically cannot fit on the regular legs. >_< I don't know why they designed them this way. I'm not ready to put on the resin boots yet, so he is going to be naked until I can restring him.
Because I live in an earthquake zone, I have to be really careful mounting a shelf. I used drywall anchors and screwed it right into the wall. To find the right location for the anchors I screwed the screws in first and pushed the shelf into the wall. The screws made marks on the wall and that's where I drilled for the anchors. Then it was just a matter of getting everything lined up.
Somebody sent me an e-mail the other day asking me if I've become a "slacker" as I don't seem to bird as often anymore. Well, I've always been a "slacker", but that's got nothing to do with it. To be honest, I'm kind of sick of the stupidity and small-minded ego driven bullshit that seems to go hand in hand with birding. That doesn't mean that I've stopped birding, but rather that I no longer participate as much in the public aspects of birding. I'm still out there. I just don't discuss it publicly as much as I used to.
The other thing is, the last couple of years I have spent months at a time away from home working. So when I'm home, I'd rather spend time with my family than discuss whether or not John Q's most recent sightings are bogus or not. As a matter of fact, I'd rather drink bleach and vote republican than have that discussion again, but that's beside the point........
