The town of Vignola is famous for the various types of cherries.
The cherry blossom is called "a sea of cherry blossom".
In this vast field I took several photos, I looked around and I saw this thick bloom, I would have taken with the camera all the many details.
I was in this "sea" of flowers for about an hour.
It seems strange, but it was the first time I managed to take pictures of the flowering cherry right in the field.
In years past it happened that I saw a cherry tree, and I shot some photos, or two or three nearby trees.
But here I was on the road going to Castelvetro.
And I saw this big flowery field.
My goal yesterday was Castelvetro for a particular reason on the flowering ... for a picture I had taken years ago, for a very spectacular place with the flowering ... I do not write anything now because I could not find that place, and I'm going to look for it in the coming days.
Vignola / Modena.
[ Two pics because I couldn't choose which one I like best :X]
I miss Canada's autumn.
Buuut it's spring here and I love it too! <3
Even with all the messy hair I love this pic! It was sooo windy, I couldn't do anything to control her hair... Monique wigs are too soft/light. :P
Which is a good thing, because in a few places the trail went over a rocky bit, and it was very hard to tell where it continued. The trail also got dangerously close to the edge of the drop off into the freezing cold, thinly ice covered river in other places, and there's nothing quite like the feeling of your foot slipping in that scenario to give you a sudden boost of adrenaline and heat.
This special squirrel has been coming to my back porch for 18 months now. She still comes up to the door and begs standing on her hind legs. She often sits on the edge of a flower pot waiting and when I pull into the driveway she hops toward me wanting a peanut. I keep one in the car for just such an encounter. I often have one in a pocket when working in the yard. She's been a real distraction and something fun during the long lock down because of the pandemic. She's had three liters in that time frame. I hope her visits will continue. She's the featured squirrel in my Squirrel Album.
LOAD Day 22 - punches - This is a lift (pretty direct copy!) of an Annette Pixley LO in the CK mag Scrapbooking Tips & Tricks - here's a link to the scan because for some reason I couldn't find a link to the LO online anywhere (and wasted like 15 mins looking - ugh!) here
Saw Annette's LO and HAD TO :) I loved it that much!!! There is a black border around the whole thing that only partially scanned.
I'm trying to branch out my color selection a bit more these days just for the hey of it :)
And seriously...I LOVE these guys :) xo kiddos, you are the lights of my life!! I simply couldn't be more blessed (although Sam I sure would like it if you would sleep an entire night in your own bed by yourself because I'm not getting much sleep when you want to snuggle half the night!)

OK I think I fixed the link. DUH!
I dressed Rayna in my Blue Biba dress because I thought it would look nice with her blue eyes, and she happened to be wearing some tennis shoes. It set me to wondering if I could create a more casual styling with this dress. So I went to browse Vogue Runway and found the Louis Vuitton Fall 2020 show. My Biba design looks like it just stepped out of that collection with its bouncy flouncy skirts. The Vuitton Jackets look oversize as though borrowed from menswear and remind me of 80's ski gear, shell suits or motorcycle jackets. The closest item I have to this is the DAM Toys Private Contractor in Syria jacket. I added boots and bag and Rayna is ready to hit the runway in the Vuitton show!
You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back
or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she’s gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back
or you can do what she’d want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

I think is a good lesson we must to learn for many areas in our lives: Don't look back.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Puedes llorar y cerrar tu mente,
estar vacio y dar la espalda al mundo
o puedes hacer lo que ella quería:
sonreir, abrir tus ojos, amar y avanzar.
David Harkins
Creo que es una buena lección que debemos de aprender para muchas areas de nuestra vida. Nunca mires atrás.

Caldwell 38 is nicknamed the Needle galaxy, because in most telescopes it looks as thin and sharp as a pin. It is a spiral galaxy, but because it is seen almost perfectly edge-on, its spiral structure is concealed. This Hubble image, taken with the Wide Field and Planetary Camera 2, provides a detailed look near the galaxy’s core, which is largely obscured by thick ribbons of dust in the spiral arms.
These observations were taken to search for large groupings of old stars, known as globular clusters, in Caldwell 38. Seeing the Needle galaxy edge-on provides an excellent opportunity to explore globular star clusters. While most of a spiral galaxy’s stars lie within a relatively flat plane, globular clusters tend to be sparsely distributed all around the galaxy, surrounding it like a diffuse shell. When seen face-on, a galaxy’s globular clusters easily get lost in the mix; when a galaxy is seen edge-on, however, these clusters stand out.
By conducting a survey of globular clusters in several edge-on spiral galaxies, scientists have been able to study how these clusters form and evolve. Their results seem to indicate that globular clusters form with a very low metal content, but then their metallicity grows over time through subsequent mergers with other globular clusters.
The Needle galaxy was discovered by astronomer William Herschel in 1785 and is also cataloged as NGC 4565. It is about 40 million light-years away toward the constellation Coma Berenices. The galaxy is best viewed in the spring from the Northern Hemisphere (autumn from the Southern Hemisphere), and with a magnitude of 9.6 it is fairly easy to spot even with a small telescope. With larger telescopes, a prominent dark lane can be seen crossing the galaxy’s core.

“Because there's nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it's sent away.” ― Sarah Kay
Because the lighting had not been used for many years I had to carefully clean all the contacts before the headlights would work.
Because of a big landscaping project at home it's been 5 weeks since I last went to see the Northern Harriers. I never expected that they would still be nest building this late in the season, yet apparently they are. I did manage to get to Mud Lake a couple of times during that period, but nowhere else.
Because someone asked about this model

Hello everyone! Here's my latest Cyberpunk creation! It's supposed to be an older apartment retrofitted to cyberpunk. It's a small build but I'm happy with the colors and how it turned out. I tried making the minifigs as unique as possible! Check out the notes I'll be adding over the photos!

Because of being stuck at home, I've been wanting to experiment with some new gear. Along with the Zeiss 35mm prime lens, I bought a "Lume Cube" (a 1-inch square waterproof light source) where I can really dim down the light intensity with various colored gel filters and diffusion filters (they all snap on via small magnets and can be stacked) to get some unusual effects
This is an ƒ/4.0, ISO 400, at a 30-second exposure photo. I moved the light source around to get some different highlights. I didn't realize that the Lume Cube's dim light (diffusion bulb with a blue gel) would be picked up so well to do some unintended light painting.

Sunrise on the bike trail, Albuquerque, NM--liked the shadows of the pebbles and the curve of the trail.
Congratulations to this pic--it is my #1 Most Viewed Pic by far, it is one of only two so far to make it to Explore, it is frequently my #1 Most Interesting Pic, and today, January 2, 2008, it received 600 Views! Jan. 14, 2008, it hit 700! AND, on Jan. 17, 2008, it took THIRD, 13 out of 15, at my very first ELCC competition, tying Amitabh's great Kiss of Rose picture! Woo-hoo! Bob Martin says there's art in me; I dunno, I think the art is in these pebbles! Way to go, pebbles!
Well, it took till February 1, 2008, but it made it to 800 Views. Simply amazing. Feb. 15: 901. How does it do it?
Feb. 29: 1000 Views! My first pic to hit Quadruple Digits! In one month it acquired 200 more views. Simply amazing.
December 2008: 2,437 views. Come on, 2,500! Has been replaced by Trail Flowers as #1 Most Interesting, though.

Because October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, here are my bewbies. I'm actually copying a shot I saw in a magazine this morning in my dentist's office. That was just before she started drilling, hacking, and generally mucking things up WITHOUT ANESTHESIA. At one point she got her matrix stuck between my teeth and it took her and an assistant 10 minutes of both of them gripping it, putting their feet up on my chair and yanking. They had to hold pressure to stop the bleeding for 5 minutes after! It all started with, I'll just start and if you need to be numbed up you let me know...urg!
Bye Summer! Bye Tan Lines! Bye little gap between my teeth that used to be a favorite hangout of my foodstuffs! Someday I hope we'll be saying Bye Breast Cancer. Everyone go and kiss your favorite set of bewbies right now to make sure they know they're appreciated! Tell 'em Jess sent ya!
