Starting a new series of garments from the latest Alabama Chanin book. This time I am going with some simple shapes in solid (no stencil or applique) "midnight" jersey. I have decided to try their technique called "armor" beading on the cuffs of the bolero, just maybe a little less densely packed. Who says I can't wear beads in a jeans sort of life? (The beaded sleeve is a photo from the book "Alabama Studio Sewing+Design".)

My obsession with beaded ropes continues!

I made this bracelet as a sample with beads I had on hand, but I really want to make this with gold beads and emerald swarovski crystals.

I think it would make a lovely necklace too.

I plan to make some matching earrings next : )

This is a special order for a place we can't talk about, this one for Anne.

Cadence models Pink Diamonds on White #1. C and I liked this so much that I put my name down on my own waiting list for #2. Like the Black Diamonds style, this dress is hand smocked and beaded in a diamond pattern and features contrasting collar and cuffs, as well as a machine-embroidered hemline.

Cadence is also wearing a Bijou Blythe beaded headband (see Glamourfae on Flickr and Etsy) and mary janes from JR Toys House on eBay.

Cadence models a custom order for a place we can't talk about. Pink and white printed gingham has bead-studded, diamond wave patterned smocking. Decorative machine embroidery on the white collar and cuffs and also the scalloped hem. This dress is shorter than my usual, by customer request.
