This is a tigerseye, phoenix, and gold findings pendant necklace. I had a rush commission job last week for Barb, who wanted something for her mother's birthday. I had a block at first as to what kind of necklace to make for to match the earrings, but once this got rolling, it got rolling. There's also a matching set of earrings to go with this.

Starting a new series of garments from the latest Alabama Chanin book. This time I am going with some simple shapes in solid (no stencil or applique) "midnight" jersey. I have decided to try their technique called "armor" beading on the cuffs of the bolero, just maybe a little less densely packed. Who says I can't wear beads in a jeans sort of life? (The beaded sleeve is a photo from the book "Alabama Studio Sewing+Design".)
