"The mountain labored and brought forth a mouse." An apt proverb for this week. I have a number of projects packed up into bags, ready (or mostly ready) to bead. Some have been around for years, and this is part of one of them.
The necklace will be focused around an amusing little bead that I received in a polymer clay swap years ago. It was one of those "mostly" projects: I had most of the elements, but needed a sprinkling of small flowers to echo the focal bead.
While I did accomplish more beading this week than merely finding the right look and combination of beads for the lily, I also spent a ridiculous amount of time making various prototypes until I found one I was finally happy with. At least now I know where I'm headed with the piece. I think.
Hourglass is done with plastic and the confetti and fabric is underneath the plastic. The numbers in the bottom half move around if you shack the piece.
This handy little item is a small sample of the intricacies of beading. This card holder measures 10 x 7 cm.
