First few rows of the beaded net... wanted to finish the skein before breaking it to get beads on, but it kept going and going and... so I broke it and added beads.
This handy little item is a small sample of the intricacies of beading. This card holder measures 10 x 7 cm.
it's starting to get a tiny bit faster now! at least i'm not getting hand cramps from the world's tiniest crochet hook.
there are 3 more rows of the every-other-stitch beading, then it's not so intense.
The boys each have a "special girl" in their lives that they wanted to make a Christmas gift for, so I let them into my bead stash and they strung bracelets.

I made this cloth doll at an online class on Doll Street. Angela Jarecki is an awesome instructor!!
The petals of the flower have a overlayered ruffled effect which is further accentuated by wisps of metallic thread, embroidery and button centrepeice detail.
