View of rear, with the fusion engine removed and opened maintenance panels on the rear left/right torsos. The leg armor plating has also been removed to expose the leg actuator mechanisms.

Editing experiment...

A duplicate of the easily transportable Thomisid MK II Anti-Air quad mech I made a couple years ago, this time in sand green.

In the process of copying my original one, I figured out a new, more streamlined way to build the hatch as well as make it smaller. It has a nifty way to swing tiles outward so that the minifig pilot can still get through to the cockpit.

Lastly, the main cannon mounts on the sides are implemented differently due to the lack of sand green versions of the parts I used last time.

There is seldom a ground mission where the Old World Governments do not deploy the Scourge-Class mech. A perfect balance of cost, versatility, and combat effectiveness makes this mech the favorite of many generals and pilots. Designed to deal with enemies ranging from rioters to other enemy mechs, the Scourge is equipped with two Mid-Strength Lasers on its left arm and a Long Range Mid-Strength Laser on its right. On its torso it possesses Low-Strength Lasers, Short Ranged Missiles, Floodlights, and a well protected cockpit from the sides. On its legs it features grenade launchers that can be armed with various types of grenades to deal with infantry or rioters, as mentioned above. However, the Scourge struggles to be effective on longer missions as its wide variety of weapons leaves little space for ammunition.

Many thanks to Affliction. for posting an LDD screenshot of this variation of my previous foot design. The t-piece obviously is much stronger than the flex tube I used before.

Now I need to redo my LDraw model to match.

Brickcommander Build, Dragonfly. Missing a few bits for this one, not entirely pleased with the colours either, but here it is.

Locust Inspired BattleTech Mech

Situated behind the cockpit is the mechwarrior's storage locker, which holds emergency supplies, repair equipment, and personal arms/weapons.

It’s mid-scale mecha time. Going for a general battletech aesthetic here with no particular model in mind. Another shot for the set with props removed and demonstrating it's posablity.

Battletech 2018 is very good and i'm back on my mech building bs

Based off Battletechs Catapult mech. For Mobile Frame Zero it is equipped with Dual LRM's, Medium Lasers, and Armored plating.

The ST-XM1/D sacrificed firepower for more powerful electronic components. Even still, the Hoplite/D wielded a menacing semi-automatic RR200 recoiless rifle as well as a M-S/P Particle Cannon. The left torso sports an SRM5 missle launcher. A small SGT/100 scattergun and 20mm chain gun were fitted in the right torso where another SRM5 would be fitted on the typical Hoplite/A configuration.

Okay, maybe I got a little carried away....

What can I say, I love this design!

Those of you who were at Brickworld Chicago will recognize the two on the left. The other four were built in the last six days while the Mech facility is on hold until more parts arrive.

Finally got those dark bluish grey slopes for the lower legs

One of the nice things about virtual Lego is the free choice of colors.

Originally had arms and was envisioned as a bruiser but I thought it looked cooler as a long legged fire support mech

Technological marvel of the 31st century.

A collage of pics to show the standing silhouette with the gun slung on it's back. This makes the mechsuit top-heavy, but it is held by only a single stud for easy removal.

The Heckler is a bit of a hybrid build that takes the arms from the Peltast and legs from the Heron. Combined with a new torso design, it all combines into a mechsuit heavily inspired by Titanfall (particularly Ion and Tone). It stands halfway between the height of the two parent mechs.

A bit of backstory for the choice of name:

#1: I was rather... heckled by what I should call this thing for about 3 days. My usual naming trend has ancient warriors for humanoids, and animals for walker types. Nothing stuck out to me, even mythical hybrid beasts and animals. So the fact that this bugged me for so long is kinda fitting lol.

#2: The fact that it completely reuses whole sections of older mech designs was something I kinda did for the... heck of it. I initially was going to redesign the reused parts but the pre-existing limbs mixed well enough together that I decided it not worth trying to overhaul them.

#3: It being a smaller mech with a lower profile better suited to guerrilla warfare or infantry support, it could be used to harass bigger mechs and vehicles.

#4: Canis Arms Corporation (whom I've met in person) has a small mech of similar size called the Taunt. So calling my new design 'Heckler' fits with that too lol.

So with all that I'm just going to go with it.

As for equipment, the Heckler is able to use the same handheld weapons that the Peltast can. The standard has a heavier Gauss rifle with Micro-Missiles on the back, and a pair of small Rayguns on the wrist of each forearm.

Here's another creation inspired by the BattleTech universe.

The Grand Dragon was an upgrade to the Draconis Combines iconic Dragon Battlemech. It replaces the main Autocannon with a PPC. By 3055 all Dragon production lines had been retooled to produce the Grand Dragon.

After seeing a number of really great Battletech builds lately, it got me thinking about which battlemech was my favorite. Almost immediately I settled on the Wolverine. While not flashy, it usually got the job done. It was tough, and could deal good damage - it was just never a show stealer, I liked that.

More than a few times this guy would show up in my lance, and it would really help round it out.

It's typical armament was an autocannon (AC/5), SRM 6 launcher, and a medium laser. And that's what I've depicted here.

That thing in his right hand is a reload for the autocannon.

The Heckler mostly passes the articulation test. It can still pose in a 3-point landing stance, although its digitigrade leg design doesn't allow the knee to touch the ground, so instead the toes do.

Cut and pasted my mech into one of my camping pics.. a desert in the prairie. Could probably be more artfully placed but I have very limited editing skills. Would welcome tips or tools to better accomplish this.

A good friend, and avid MWO player, set me a challenge - build a Timber Wolf he said - So here it is, one for the Mechwarrior/Battletech fans.

If you like the MOC, and would like one of your own, please head to LEGO Ideas and hit support and it could become an official set.

Hoplite Pilots sit behind a massive amount of armor to provide protection. However many frontline troops also wished to have near unobstructed views. The Hoplite was designed with a heavily reinforced thermo-resistant lexan housing coated on the interior with an integrated HUD display film allowing seamless control and a comparatively wide view. A heavy "rollbar" was fitted to the upper half of the canopy to protect from physical attacks.

I've never done a clear canopy mech before, and always found them rather ugly or unrealistic. But this one just didn't feel right without it.

Battletech inspired bipedal mech. Based off the concept of the Perseus, or "omnimech Orion".

The sheer size of the Atlas' head allowed for some pretty cool detail in the cockpit, which accommodates a minifig with helmet.

As suggested by Motian, the shoulder racks are now closer to the center torso, making the whole mech look more slender. Also, since I can't fully avoid light bley on this construction, I tried to use it a little more consistently here.

Front view. Casually looking around. The eye can swivel side-to-side.

Even with it's gun on it's back, the Heckler is still balanced enough to stand on one leg as shown in this running pose.
