I love Macross to much to call it a Marauder, but I love Battletech too much to call it a Glaug pod.
Made a compromise.

Had this one planned out for quite a good long while, gotta say the building experience was really really enjoyable
Admittedly the shaping of the torso was a little out of my league since I've mainly been building humanoid mechs lately.
Quite heavy too due to higher part count and plating.

The Thunderbolt SE was a Cavalry variant first produced for the Eridani Light Horse merc unit. It added Jump Jet at the expense of some short range firepower.

Ever since I had the privileged opportunity to suggest this cockpit be moulded in the iconic Blacktron I colours, I have dreamed of putting it into a MOC worthy of the amazing 80's aesthetic that the Snow Speeder windscreen just SCREAMS. To me, that's an attack-helicopter with legs a-la Mechwarrior/Battletech - something in the realm of the Marauder/Catapult (Mad Cat / Timber Wolf / Stormcrow / Viper ) variety. Since the amazing set The Force Burner Snowspeeder™ 75414
designed by Daniel Lehmann released last month, and because he graciously outed me as the catalyst for the windscreen's bold look, I have endeavoured to make my retro bipedal Battle Mech. I used a TON of vintage parts and tried to stick closely to the original design language and pattern of the Blacktron I sets. This model is my sturdiest Mech MOC yet! Incorporating dynamic posing, I could achieve this cool pose, and with some supports it could definitely get into a running position. It has working actuators and armor panels that adapt to the shifts in the legs, seats two pilots, and has a winch for them to ascend to the main body from the ground. I am planning to do some outdoor/diorama scenes with SPI getting their comeuppance, but it is an ABSOLUTE dust magnet so I ran to the office for some beauty shots. If you want the whole story of the windscreen, ask me in person. This will be at Skærbæk 2025. I hope you enjoy!!!

Roughly the same height to the absolute tops of each MOC, a practical mechsuit with a practical quad mech. They look good with the shared army drab color scheme.
Continuing with the mechwarrior inspired theme - here is my version of the locust scout mech. It's injected with a bit of color and it's scale is larger then my last couple while still being less then fig scale. This is a rather popular model and has been cutomized to my liking with a less boxy feel then the original model and maybe closer to the" unseen" inspiration. My design is a conglomeration of the different models I have seen of this mech. Intersting history behind these designs for those that do some digging. The mechwarrior fever continues...as always more shots later and hopefully a new base.
Weighing in at 75 tons, with a top speed of 86.4 kph, the Timber Wolf is fast, versatile, and deadly, and it remains one of the most iconic Clan mechs. Originally developed by Clan Wolf, the Timber Wolf has found its way into service with every clan. In its primary weapons configuration, the Timber Wolf carries an ER Large Laser and an ER Medium Laser in each arm, along with two LRM-20s with one ton of ammunition each, a Medium Pulse Laser in the left torso, and two machine guns with one ton of ammo between them for anti-infantry action.
This Timber Wolf is painted in the colors of Clan Star Addar, Alpha Galaxy.
So, since the last one was so fun www.flickr.com/photos/53458657@N04/7468411870/in/photostream, and renewed my intrest in the Battletech universe here is another mid scale design. This time the inspiration is the "Mad Dog" or "Vulture" depending on whether your Clan or Inner Sphere. www.sarna.net/wiki/Mad_Dog_ What ever you call it, it certainly is a dangerous looking omnimech. My proportions are a little off I think and the lack of leg mobility is pretty sad, but the detail level and general size has increased over the last one. The basic form is there and hopefully recognizable, and these frames are made to be customized so that's a good enough excuse to post it now. A new base and different background, angle, and lighting.

Based off MechWarrior/Battletech's Raven. Equipped with Medium Lasers, Streak SRM2, And Dual Antennas for electronic warfare.
A more intensive refit of the Heckler hybrid mechsuit, this Retrotech variant foregoes hands altogether and removes the 'head' eye sensor in exchange for a bit more built in weaponry (a pair of chainguns plus light Gauss Cannon) and an open clear-view canopy for the cockpit.
Also equipped with Ion thrusters on the back for maneuverability in hostile low-gravity environments.
While not as efficient as normal versions in non-combat utility roles, this variant serves as a fast and evasive skirmisher when expeditionary conflict situations escalate.
The Orion was the first true heavy Battlemech and had a good mix of short and long range weaponry.

In fact, this is one of my older MOCs that I have built over two years ago. Some of you probably already know it from my Brickshelf gallery or Brothers-Brick. I have only reviewed some of the photos and they are now displayed in a slightly higher resolution.
For everyone who does not know it yet: this MOC is my favorite mecha from the Classic BattleTech series...in fact it is a Robotech design, but in the beginning it was also used for Battletech until it became "unseen"...whatever...I love this 75 ton steel monster...even if it is made of plastic....
I spent some time clean up the color scheme of the Tribunal (I removed all the brown.) I also completely redesigned the legs. I am definitely going to have to declare it a super heavy mech as far as Battletech is concerned.

Brand new Sisterhood mech, roughly inspired by the Battletech Rifleman. Upper torso almost complete. I’m working on a brand new lower torso and legs. Mounted here to the Seraph lower for fitment/scale.

from the BattleTech Wikia, battletech.wikia.com/wiki/Locust:
The Locust is one of the most common BattleMechs in existence, having been produced since the design was introduced by Bergan Industries in 2499. The Locust is built for one purpose exclusively, reconnaissance. The design uses a 160 rated LTV Fusion Engine to attain speeds of up to 129.6kph. With such phenomenal speed the Locust is capable of outrunning most enemies. In a situation where it is unable to outrun its enemies it does have a light array of weapons with which to defend itself.

Intently designed for frontline operations, the ST-XM1 or "Hoplite" excelled in close range mech-mech and medium to heavy armor asset engagements. The Hoplite's torso supported omni-hardpoint allowing for mission tailored weapon loadouts. The "D" classification sacrificed firepower for a modest electronics package enabling better communication with other squad elements and intelligence units. Battlefield longevity dictated many of the design elements.
After about 8 months of on and off construction, I'm happy to finally called this one finished. Started in about late November of last year, I developed a leg design that I've always wanted. This guy is easily my most intricate model yet. Tons of "travis" and modified bricks give the Hoplite its various angled armor points and by some miracle they all seem to fit nicely into place. Well, by miracle I mean days of testing, building, scraping, and starting over. I went through like 4 torso designs.
This is my first clear canopied Mech. I wasn't sure about it at first, but I loved how elegantly it integrated with the rest of the torso, so naturally it had to stay. Its now my favorite part of this whole build.
