James Borrell is a UK based conservation biologist with a passion for expeditions and adventure having been involved in projects on four continents.
In early 2012 James led the scientific fieldwork of an expedition to the Empty Quarter and Dhofar Mountains of Oman. Here they undertook a wide range of research with a particular focus on establishing the presence of the critically endangered Arabian Leopard, a species thought to number less than 250 in the wild.

Connelly Awards for Excellence in Army Food Service in the Army National Guard Field Kitchen Category. Virginia is one of seven regional winners competing for the national-level award, and the food service section was evaluated in a number of areas including food preparation, taste, nutrition, service and sanitation. JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- Five hundred Soldiers from the 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, return to JBER-Richardson, October 6, 2012, after a 10-month deployment to Afghanistan. The Soldiers were honored in a homecoming ceremony held at Buckner Physical Fitness Center where they were reunited with their families.
