Turkey based GPLN member SNS International handled the loading of cargo of 220 MVA transformer main body with unit weight of 203 tons, as well as related accessories for the Rabigh Power Plant Extension Project, Stage VIII. This project is one of the biggest projects in Saudi Arabia.
SNS International is shipping a liquid dielectric transformer over 10,000 KVA and parts of transformers. The last unit SNS moved was a 380kV/13.8-13.8KV 220 MVA generator step-up transformer with accessories including: HV cable box with oil-oil bushing, Oil-SF6 bushing, SF6 surge arrestors and monitoring devices (gas density monitor and surge current monitor with counter), common SF6 gas filling equipment, and special tools and accessories for each of the surge arrestors

A.Ş. for the Saudi Electricity Company.

The Tar Heels baseball team is competing in the NCAA College World Series hosted at Omaha's Rosenblatt Stadium June 13-23/24.

Family, friends, fellow Soldiers and community members join senior state and Virginia National Guard leaders in bidding an official farewell to the Emporia-based 1710th Transportation Company, 529th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 329th Regional Support Group at a departure ceremony held April 3, 2013, in Emporia. Approximately 160 Soldiers in the unit entered federal active duty April 1 and will conduct their final training at Fort Hood, Texas, for approximately 45 to 60 days before heading on to Afghanistan. Once in country, they are expected to conduct transportation support operations and convoy security for military and host nation convoys, and the mobilization is expected to last 12 months. The 1710th Transportation Company is the first Virginia National Guard unit to serve on federal active duty since the return of Soldiers from the Fort Belvoir-based 29th Infantry Division in July 2012. They last served on federal active duty in Iraq where they provided medium lift transportation capabilities that moved critical supplies from logistical support areas out to forward operating bases from May 2008 to February 2009. Westland Lysander 111a. V9367 G-AZWT. Shuttleworth aircraft. This airframe is configured in the special duties role and is painted in 161 Squadron markings as flown by Pilot Officer Peter Vaughan-Fowler and based at near by Tempsford, Bedfordshire. This is probably as close as i will get to seeing a Lysander flying at night as if dropping or picking up an agent from behind enemy lines in France than i ever will, so even though its dark, this is what it should look like, probably even darker. Yes the weather was horrible, dark wet and damp. www.shuttleworth.org

This weekly Thursday meet during the summer is based at the sea front in the sea side resort of Weston Super Mare, North Somerset, UK.
It is organised by Members of the British legion, all bike donate £1 to enter and all proceeds go the charity The Poppy Appeal.
Images can be obtained for a donation of £5 per image, the full image will then be e-mailed to you.

JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska -- Soldiers from the California National Guard 95th Civil Support Team (Weapons of Mass Destruction) and the 95th Chemical Company, 2d Engineer Brigade, conduct joint operations at the Arctic Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Site on JBER-Richardson July 17. Like Alaska's own 103rd CST (WMD), the California team is comprised of Army and Air National Guardsmen, trained in NBC and hazardous material identification, assessment, and sampling. Their primary mission is to provide first responder support to civil authorities in matters of NBC, HAZMAT, and other major incidents. The week's training included a joint operations and casualty evacuation; suspected HAZMAT lab clearing; NBC training; and weapons familiariation.

I'm working on something much larger than usual today: a heptagram. On Monday I'll be giving a short (10 minute) talk in New Haven at about 7:15, on how I became an alchemist. This is my visual aid for the talk. The first step was laying out this large seven pointed star on a piece of foamcore.
James Borrell is a UK based conservation biologist with a passion for expeditions and adventure having been involved in projects on four continents.
In early 2012 James led the scientific fieldwork of an expedition to the Empty Quarter and Dhofar Mountains of Oman. Here they undertook a wide range of research with a particular focus on establishing the presence of the critically endangered Arabian Leopard, a species thought to number less than 250 in the wild.
