Two weeks in Mongolia on a mountaineering expedition to climb Mount Khuiten (the highest peak at 4,374 meters). Khuiten means "cold".
We hiked across rolling planes to the Altai mountain range and our base camp for bagging the peaks.

Been working on this a lot during the past month, and after a dozen drafts or so, I finally found a way of folding the head and front legs that I like! I designed my first stegosaurus ten years ago, and this uses the same basic structural approach... but I've come a long way since then: flic.kr/p/2Rro11
Thats our way to get a well presentation for our minfigures.
There is a standard base for one minfigure wich can be connected with another one. Two bases are connected by the legs of a minifigure in the retral line. So you get two lines of minfigures with a great view of all of them.

Suggested by Wizard of X, I revisited my snow cave with some Star Wars stuff. I scraped the roof a little and roughed up the floor, too. My Echo Base isn't nearly as trashed as in the movie, but I didn't want to be there any longer than Han. My wife didn't want me in there, either!
Unexpected to the operators, it was decided to cease rail operations on the US Air Force's Shaw Base.
After 66 years, this would be the final train to run to the interchange. Black flags were placed on the locomotives, and the departure occurred around 1:30 p.m. Several from the Air Force joined in on the run, or took photographs at grade crossings. By 2:00 p.m., both 80Tonners had shoved the train to the CSX interchange, and returned to Shaw AFB in Sumter, SC.

Base elevation a little over 8500 ft, the peaks rise to over 13,000 ft along the Continental Divide here in southwest Colorado. Snow depths are incredible in this part of the world. The mountains in the distance are in the Weminuche Wilderness Area.

This was intended as a throwaway, but after processing I found that I kinda like it. The splashing folks up top, returning to the boat. The fish, hoping for food. The light, streaming into the water.
I was mighty deep here still (around 50 ft), so this is actually a teleshot. Not bad, overall (pats self on back).
Oh, the fish? I was told once that they're hoping someone starts chumming. That is, they hope some tourist starts barfin', which means goodies for them.
I'm greedy, I don't share.
