In other words, with the Marin and Peninsula lines; with Geary and Peninsula lines; and without either.

It's surprising that BART expected higher 1968-1969 ridership without the Marin Line than with it. Maybe because they could get Geary running faster without having to worry about the Golden Gate Bridge.
Actual 1980 ridership, 34,384,335. By now, of course, it is doing quite well.
Feb. 16, 2017 - Bart Ehrman, (born October 5, 1955) is an American professor and scholar, currently the James A. Gray Distinguished Professor of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is one of North America's leading scholars in his field, having written and edited 30 books, including three college textbooks. He has also achieved acclaim at the popular level, authoring five New York Times bestsellers. Ehrman's work focuses on textual criticism of the New Testament, the historical Jesus, and the development of early Christianity.
The Clemson Department of Philosophy and Religion hosted Dr. Ehrman, the 2016-17 Phi Beta Kappa visiting scholar, at Clemson's Brackett Hall to speak. His topic was, "Did the Early Christians Forget Jesus?"
Surprisingly they were still using the Burlingame rendering even though San Mateo County had dropped out.
This was taken through the cardboard insert from a toilet roll with the Bart Simpson money bank sitting inside our laundry basket. I wanted the blue to contrast with Bart's face.

From Sarah Syed @ BART:
"Thanks for the photo-- glad you are enjoying the new space!
There have been a few problems in implementation (you may still see some
cars with a folding seat too close to the bike space, or new bike space in
cars that bikes don't have access to!), but all in all, its a good start.
We are pushing to make this part of the standard car design when we
replace the entire BART Car fleet in a few years. In a few months we will
be doing passenger surveys on the new bike space, so hopefully feedback
will be good. Until then, I'll pass your comments along to some
colleagues who have been very involved in this project."
