This shot, captured from a beach in St. Barts, came to mind for the theme "The Shape of Water" for one of my favorite groups: Smile on Saturday.

Bart was at an animal shelter in Alabama before being shipped to another in Wisconsin from which he was rescued by a good family with whom he is now thriving. Seems to me, though, that those sad-sack eyes hint at the hardship of his prior life.
Bart's namesake also originated in Alabama and moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin where he too thrived, leading his team to five NFL and two Superbowl Championships ;-)
Bart is feeling stimulated and has jumped up to the window nook to keep an eye on the kitchen. I soon will get his wand toy, to help him focus his energy.
This house on Monte Vista Bv. NE is among the weirdest homes in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The main house was built as Mr. Prince's private residence in 1984. Mr. Prince has designed several homes and home additions throughout New Mexico and several other places in the U.S. In 1990 a library tower was added (not shown here) and in the 2000s a detached studio (also not shown) was built just north of this house.
When I was a draftsman working for a structural engineering firm a long time ago, I was fortunate enough to be able to see the inside of this home while accompanying my boss to see Mr. Prince for a business-related matter. During the visit, Mr. Prince told us that one evening, a limousine pulled up in front, and one occupant stepped out and went to the door. Mr. Prince answered the bell, opened the door, and standing in front of him was William Shatner (of Star Trek fame) who promptly said, "Beam me up, Scotty!" Mr. Prince proceeded to invite Mr. Shatner inside for a tour.
Thank you all so very much for your visits, comments, and faves. I appreciate each and every one of you! Gracias. Merci. Danke. Obrigado. Grazie. Go raibh maith agat. Tapadh leat. Gratias tibi.

I had just gotten home, and Bart was rolling around in a favorite spot, the kitchen window. I thought he might want a tummy rub, but he light clawed at me when I tried.
This is Bart my sister in law's dog. Quite loveable and cute but dumb as a brick but will give you doggie kisses all day.
I had just come in from taking insect photos in the garden, and used my zoom on Bart from across the room. He's in a favorite spot, the living room window. I need to take more photos of his sister, Lisa, but she's tricky to shoot.
I was trying to photograph a daisy while using a sequined backdrop when Bart said, "No, you'll photograph me, instead." He's very persistent!
:-(((
Bart is in the window, and is watching my left hand crinkle a plastic bag. He had been captivated by an outdoor cat across the street.

Bart is in a favorite spot, the kitchen window. I'm tapping a butter knife against the camera to get his attention.

Often when I pat Bart he'll soon plop onto the floor and roll around, wanting me to play with him. If I extend my hand toward him, though, he bats at it and lightly bites my fingers. I sometimes switch to using a wand toy at that point.
Bart enjoys rolling around in the sun, like all cats. He paws at me if I try to step over him. He only tolerates brief tummy rubs, sadly.
Bart has stopped responding to my kazoo and squeaker, so I turned on my electric toothbrush and held it against the camera, making an awful buzzing sound. I pulled it away when he looked at the lens, and quickly snapped a photo. He's perched on top of my bathroom cabinet, a favorite spot.
I was photographing flowers on my kitchen counter tonight when Bart had to make it about him. Behind him is a swatch of rose gold sequined fabric.
Bart turns invincible when he jumps up on the bathroom cabinet. He'll enjoy pats and purr for a few moments, but then nips at me. Sometimes he goes up there while I'm showering and meows. Then his sister, Lisa, comes in to investigate, and they end up playing and wrestling on the bathmat.

A profile of Bart Simpson in Lego. Just in time for the May 1st celebration.
I've photographed this almost year ago, and been playing with it ever since. Yesterday I started to think it's time to let it go and put this on save here.
Bart likes to relax in this spot when the sun hits it in the morning. He's four years old and very charismatic. His sister, Lisa, is also quite a character.

girls these days just don't know how to wear mini skirts! It's not just about crossing your legs. You also need to be aware that crossing one's legs decreases fabric surface for coverage-especially the outer and under thigh areas.
I am getting old? Nahhh, b.c I'm not against public celebration of one's legs, just not when it also exposes ur entire inner thigh to the point where it's distasteful.
