I made this quilted bag for my sister to celebrate her 30th birthday. The pattern is the mini Miranda bag by Lazy Girl Designs. The gorgeous fabric is from Quilt Essentials in Derbyshire. The pattern was really easy to follow, even for a beginner like me, because it's clearly written and has lots of photographs. I did take lots of time to make sure that I'd measured properly though. The gorgeous Koi fabric is by Kona Bay. I'm very pleased with how it all turned out.
This colourful bag is made by my grandmother. she used icelandic wool in a lot of different colours. I really really like it!!!
Sorry for the paper-bag self portrait, was trying to get a good high key shot, but after 45 min nothing was working. I think I just don't have the space or good lights to balance a window- I'll try high key another time when I do.

I made this bag during the weekend.
I decided to decorated with my embroidery applique and buttons hearts all over the bubbles.
I'm happy with it.

I made some reusable snack and sandwich bags. Outside - lovely unbleached cotton and super cute Japanese fabric applique. Inside - waterproof and washable fabric called V-lite (nylon coated in vinyl). Closure - velcro. The sandwich bags are 7"x7" and the snack bags are 7"x4".

Cath Kidston pattern from "SEW". Made this a trial run as my son needed one for his PE kit and I wasn't sure how big it would be. Made his longer and in grey camouflage
Description of bag
When first entering the installation one is struck with the floor of the space being covered with cardboard. The walls of the installation radiate a soft golden glow omitted from the LCD projection on the ceiling acting as the light source for the room. Height level speakers located in the corners of the room generate the sound from the piece. The soundtrack is manipulated street noise from the site where the bag was originally located. When one focuses on the projection one notices the branches of a tree in which a plastic shopping bag has been caught. The recorded stop action motion of the sequence has the fluttering bag getting caught up on a branch. The motion is then reversed of the film allowing the back to release itself once more. An overlay is added to the second sequence of two hands attempting to release the bag from the tree. The film ends with the bag being removed from the tree and the ghost image of the fluttering bag disappearing.

This lavender bag (lavender both in containing dried lavender and being made from lavender silk) was sent as part of a purple-themed swap. It was made last year from leftover fabric for a weaving sample exchange. I wove it from 60/2 silk a friend had dyed. I think it is about 2" square, but I forgot to measure it.
Gift bag I made. Will stamp label with greeting when I decide whom and what I am using it for, Label is on with temp. adhesive so I can remove and stamp later on a level surgace.
Used one piece of card stock, very easy to make. Spent more time decorating than making the gift bag. Just the right size for a gift card or small present.

Marianne Rose die for the Roses, using bazil cardstock, memento ink on edges,
Rock Candy stickles on edges of roses and green scallop under roses.
Spellbinder scalloped circle under each rose.
Used Stampin Up oval punch for handles.
Spellbinders edgeabilities for trim at the top of gift bag.
Used Red line tape to assemble so it is very secure.
