This beautiful Rune bag is constructed out of Black rabbit hide and pig skin. The pig skin has been hand dyed Saddle Tan. The bag is then hand-stitched together and a dragon shield snap closure was added as a decorative accent. The design and pattern is original to Black Forest Leather Shoppe.
It's going to be a bag. The body of the bag is adapted from a pattern by Patons and the trim is the same as the trim on Attic24's bag attic24.typepad.com/weblog/crochet-bag.html

Silk screened bag with my drawing. One small and one big. These are sold in KwangHaMoon Kyobo book store and at our museum booth in Yongsan. We didn't make many so no online sale. I carry these with me all the time. :-)

my first english paper piecing. scraps of silk, jaquard and velved that were to dear to me to throw out, but to small to make them into something of there own. all hexes are 5 cetimeters across and have 3 centimeter sides.
This one is for my mother-in-law's birthday gift, so I tried to sew the top part first and then attach it to the body bag and I think I got most of it except I sewed the top on the wrong side :(. But it turned out a lot prettier! Then I realized I sewed the top part closed so I couldn't thread the linen tape so I cut several strategic holes...but at least it looks prettier!
The bag is inspired by Anna Maria Horners 'Taxi Tote'. The bag is denim and 'Kleo' fabric by Alexander Henry. It has a loop and toggle closure and has interior & exterior pockets (the exterior is worn close to the body).
There was a note downstairs of this apartment building about neighbors getting together for knitting, chatting and coffee. I thought I'd give it a go and it was fun! I liked the sense of community - not much of it left these days. You can live in that same building for years without knowing your neighbors. Like me, I don't know too many of our neighbors and I have lived here for five years.
There were eleven people including me, aged approx 7-90 years. It really was nice! I've never done anything like this before, but I'm already looking forward to the next time. I think we'll be doing this twice a month.

I wanted a new messenger bag to take over from my lexie barnes (which is still in pretty good shape too). Found this navy one with red trim at Crumpler!
After learning how to make a tote and a handbag from Amy Karol's "Bend-the-rules Sewing" book, this is my first attempt at a bag without using a pattern. I'm reasonably happy with the shape, but I think it needed more structure? And a less crinkly fabric??
