I purchased this beautiful little bag from Etsy seller, jarck101. I'm SO thrilled with it. It way exceeds my expectations. It's intended for jewelry but I'll be using it as a bag for tatting on the go.
A bag I made for my daughter's friend for her birthday. I made it from recycled materials: an old pair of jeans, a vintage pillowcase, and a button and zipper from my daughter's outgrown clothes. I also added some daisy braid from a stash of fabric and oddments that was given to me by my grandmother.
A day out with my mother, two aunts and a cousin.
They bought matching shoes and had to wear them immediately because they were getting sore feet and these new ones are supposedly magical.

I always wanted to do a photo essay on the subject of street kids in kota kinabalu at its ironic that i only managed to get about it now when i was there for a day when i had five years previously to do so. These kids comprise of both locals and foreigners particularly those from the Philippines and Indonesia whose parents arrive here through both legal and illegal means. Most of then are without citizenships and thus are not entitled to education, health and social benefits that we enjoy, in other words they live in limbo from day to day. Yet if you meet them they are just like any other children with the innocence and joviality that only children can possess. Most follow their parents who are traders here or act individually to serve as bag carriers to the myriad people shopping for groceries at the Kota Kinabalu Market, exchanging services for a few cents of coins which will likely be used to supplement their parent's meager earnings to ensure that they survive the day with food and shelter if any are to be had. These photos tell their stories and we may have to look at ourselves and question who is entitled to be citizens and who are the foreigners, particularly in Sabah.

Lovely Amy Butler fabrics were used for this diaper bag. The inside has two flat pockets and a bottle pocket.
I made a bag for ME! Chose the fabrics I liked most, stacked them in kind-of-matching colours - started ironing....
and this came out.
A bit bigger than A4 - I guess, this is what some call a magazine tote?!
Used both remnants and some of the hoarded american prints. The cats are so cool.... I got them off Ebay a wile ago and have only just dared cutting them up.

I wanted to find some way to use these fabrics together, so I improvised this tiny tote bag. It has small pockets on the bottom, long handles, and a button closure.
Lonebluelady and myself spent the weekend making small coin purses for ourselves and family members. This is the same bag as hers, but I put a handle and accent stripe across the bag. They are so much fun to make! I can't wait to make more!
This bag has so much room it's awesome. I think this will be a new diaper bag also. It's large but not overly large. It's the perfect size for a diaper bag (In my opionion)
I added an interior zippered pocket just because. More storage!!
A cute bag with with little box pleats. This was the most fun for me, I've been playing with the idea for a while now to design some bag designs but never got my hands on a pattern I liked. I decided to design the whole bag myself, including pattern. Took some testing but I'm pleased with the result, I made this test version of my evergreen fabric design for my good friend Debby, hope she likes it ;-)
