Also, a new picture we framed and hung in our dining room :)

I made this Market Bag in class at Sew L.A. with some fabric that Tony's mom had given me. It folds up into its little pocket and is easy to carry around.

i personalized the pattern a teensy bit, and it came out v. pretty AND functional.

a little rough round the edges, but it was a 4am rush job!!!

The bag containing the material for Bees curtains. I hadn't been to this particular shop before (not having done any sewing for years!) The woman serving was a bit of a dragon!

Lunch bag for a friends birthday

(3) Cameras: Canons 5D, Rebel XT IR, 40D

(9) Lenses:

Canon 24-70 2.8L, (2) Canon 100-400L, Canon 15mm fisheye, Canon 100mm macro, Canon 50mm 1.8, Canon 17-40L, Canon 10-22mm, Sigma 18-200OS.

I used my Canon G9 to snap this image.

-- Why two 100-400Ls? Well, my 5D and 4 lenses were stolen a year ago and I just got them back! In the meantime, I had bought my 40D and lenses, so now I have this tangled mess LOL

I will be selling my 5D along with these lenses: 100-400L, 17-40L, 24-70mm 2.8L -- to buy the 5Dm2.

Sack made to help a young man tidy up!

One of my first forays into "quilting"--although this bag isn't quilted, I wanted to do something with all the fabric I had been painting, so I fused it down and topstitched it.

Coraline is a vision in soothing teals. One side features a mod teal, blue and green floral print while the other compliments it with a patchwork of different teal prints decorated on each side with a frayed edge flower. The flowers are multi-layered and each has a glass bead in the center. The edges are unfinished and will fray with use, giving the bag a bit of a shabby chic or bohemian feel. The flowers are sewn on each layer and gathered in order to cause them to stand up from the bag's surface. There is an inside pocket and the strap is adjustable as it ties closed and the knot can be moved slightly to make it longer or shorter.

Measures 12.5" across the base and is 10" high, not including straps.

Included with the bag is a matching zippered wristlet for stashing business cards or what have you. It measures 5.75" wide by 3.5" high. Lined in the same swirling green as the bag.

The bagged is named for the lead character in Neil Gaiman's Coraline (http://www.neilgaiman.com), which I am currently reading to my daughter to her delight and vast enjoyment.

Coraline is a Sube Sac modified from a tutorial I found on craftster.

The bag made from vintage embroidered napkins. I added a button and some running stitch embroidery on top and bottom for a complete look.

got this at rish's army surplus and pawn. it's an israeli paratrooper bag. pretty sweet.

happy national scrapbooking day (the 3rd)!

this is the bag i made ashton (pictured) for her birthday about a month ago.

tutorial to be up on my blog at some point in the near future. (i'm getting caught up, i promise!!!)

Done with Crochet Nylon, my first project with this material - it's hard on the fingers! I like how it turned out, but it still needs a lining.

Well, for 2007 so far...

I never check out purses when I'm thrifting, but I did today. On the left- a gorgeous black leather Kate Spade bag, on the right a cute red Liz Claiborn bag. The Kate bags are usually $300+, I got each bag for $4.95. Woo hoo!

he was bag-piping on the street of Royal Mile, and the sound was amazing. but the whole time i watched him playing, he didn't look relaxed for a second. i know bag-pipe is not the easiest music instrument to play, but aren't you supposed to enjoy playing it too?

I was just about to toss this bag into the recycle bin, when I noticed the sweet illustration on it.
