A plush bag of marshmallows. the bag is pretty much life sized at 14" x 7.5" and contains 8 marshmallows that can be removed from the bag and 1 marshmallow with a loop attatched so she can be used as a key chain , pendant or whatever.
Each marshmallow is about 2.5" x 2.5"

A completed Aragon Bag for my sister tp use as a diaper bag. Definitely not a quick and easy pattern and one of the most challenging things I have ever made but it is absolutely worth it. It looks so professional and it's incredibly useful (9 pockets!) Most important is that my sister loves it.
Pattern is Aragon Bag by Sara Lawson of Sew Sweetness. Fabric is from the Cotton and Steel line Mustang by Melody Miller. I used one of the Cotton and Steel basics (XOXO in Pink Cheeks) for the lining fabric. All of the interfacing and hardware are from a kit purchased from Massdrop -- it was so convenient to buy everything at once that I wish I had bought more than one!
Compared to the paper bag, this little plastic bag is just downright tiny! This is from the Horn Lake Target - guess I bought something really small that day! Each bullseye on this one is exactly the same size as the bullseye seen on that old directory: www.flickr.com/photos/130271900@N03/15807381694/

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)
one day an introduced me to the anthropologie catalog. it's been our shared weakness ever since. anthro is synonymous with an's birthday, as it's been our annual tradition to go shopping and have parmesan garlic rosemary fries and mochas and tell each other to buy things we "need". this year for her birthday i made this reusable anthropologie-inspired bag for her shopping trips et al. it was a fun endeavour and though i hit a snag halfway through and had to reverse everything, thus making visible things that should've been invisible, i still was quite pleased with the result and think anthro should pay me for the idea of making their iconic red handled bags reusable, fabric totes. instead they will probably sue me, but whatev. it was worth it.
i made the bag to spec, including insert. i used linen on the outside and inside with stiff stabilizer in between, satiny red cord for the handles, and plastic mesh, stabilizer, and an insert from an anthropologie bag for the fabric covered insert. i drew the letters and squiggles by hand and embroidered in silver floss.
Finished this off for a belated Christmas present for my sister. She wanted a hand quilted patchwork bag which incorporated the tapestry rose... hope she likes it!
order from C.
She wanted a bag in red tones, but not a tote, so I made her this smaller squared version.

First time I bought a bag pattern!
This is 'sherbet' by melly&me - I really liked it, when I saw it online, and I ordered it to Denmark - oh, dear, what a schlepp.... over 2 months and contacting four differnt retailers to get someone to agree to take it home! - and here is my first attempt.
This is a quite simple style based on - or so I think! - fat quarters. It is 47 cm from top of handle to bottom.
I used an old tablecloth and some of the prints from the US. Am very fond of this, it is so sweet and girly, and I already know some teenagers, who will BEG for this style.... but for myself, I will alter it and make it bigger, deeper and a bit different.
I recommend the melly&me-blog - they make the cutest things, have a look! www.mellyandme.typepad.com/
I just noticed - in the picture it looks lopsided. But it must be my camera angle?! (although I thought I held it straight?!) ...it is quite straight in real life....
Since I had to empty it out, I thought I'd have a bit of fun, brought on my Aq's post a while ago.
